Pascal Titan-X Launch

It's not just pointless, it doesn't fudging work. The support isn't there anymore, it's not something you want to openly admit to doing unless you're being sponsored lol.

Speaking as someone who has done the four card thing twice there is nothing more demoralising than looking at yor GPU utilisation and seeing 100%/33%/33%/33% GPU utilisation

Click my link earlier. One guy has already done Titan oc vs 1080 oc in 15 games plus benchmarks.

It's 28% faster at 4K on average but doom is 50% faster and tomb raider 40%.
Thanks, not bad. I have 3 x Maxwell TX at the moment but I have an excuse as my PC is also a rendering station as well as a gaming rig.
I'm probably better off sticking a fourth Maxwell TX in than buying these.

Be honest with me.

How hot and loud do these things run? If I'm right they should run just look the Maxwell Titan X or a reference 980 Ti?

I'm about to buy this because I'm tired of waiting for my 1080 to arrive.

Going under water. Holy TIM batman.

Was the hybrid 980ti easy to install onto the card? I am so tempted todo this then wait for the titan x hybrid as EVGA could take months !

i would have to agree with ganddahar though....

i mean seriously 4x titan x LMFAO, did i not read somewhere that 3 and 4 way for games are no longer viable... via nvidia as they said so them self`s so i can only guess paying that much is just for epeen and synthetic benchmarking with for the price you paid you really are not getting much lol for the 1000 pounds worth of hardware... other than to show off, just my opinion though.
the only thing i dont agree with him is that 2x titan x sli is fine but i have to agree with im on 3 and 4 way sli its pointless.

Somebody bought 4 :D

Alexander Armstrong anybody.....

I think you're lost, BHS went into administration some time ago, this is a forum for people with a passion for something.

Back in tut' your day (I had one of those also) things were cheaper, yes. So was petrol, and pastries.

That's excluding Kaap, though. He bought 4 of the things when NVIDIA aren't even supporting it. That's an example of someone trying to remain relevant, no matter what way you cut it lol

Also, VR opens the floodgates to some of these requirements.

It is like Everest, it has to be done.

I will be gaming on one or two but I will be having some benching fun on 4 !!!

Titan x might be a bit more appealing if there were third party versions available with better warranty and other styles of cooler. The **** of a cooler that nvidia have slapped on this card reminds me a lot of apple, all style no substance. I'd take a 3 fan cooler with more plastic on it than a metal "premium" cooler that basically does nothing but hold the card back and routinely gets to 80c+

The limit of those style of coolers was reached quite a while back yet the same design is used and re-used over and over, they can take out the aluminium block and attach a vapour chamber as they have done but besides that its reached a point where new thinking and engineering is needed if they intend to go forward with this kind of cooler.

I did the same, but be warned the heat it generates is quite mental even under water.

The limit can be reached again and again surely? GC cards don't get hotter each generation :D

I have to disagree with ya. Although the aftermarket coolers may do a better job they have negatives too - one being they look cheap, another being people do sometimes have problems with them I think and also they just vent into the case which is naff. I'd go reference or slap a water cooler on personally.

I wouldn't be surprised if the ref cooler has more £ spent in R&D and cost to manufacture than the aftermarket big fan style coolers

So I will be putting you on TROH next week and you will be selling on the MM in September.:D

Me too, I was going to go sli gtx 1080 but talked myself into the one faster card argument.

I wonder if it will become sli Titan?? My last sli was with an AMD fx 55 (under a Mach II) and I think 6800 series, the inner tech geek is wriggling!!

Good overclocker and very good performance.
