Path of Exile 2

Have to say, that since I binned off my sorceress and started again as a Monk, I'm finding the game much easier and more enjoyable
Yeah, class/skill balance is way off at the moment. Monk is viable using cold/freeze as elemental damage. In fact, freezing is pretty much the cookie-cutter "ailment" right now ... nothing else comes close for crowd control.

Hit a brick wall in act 2. Level 20 or so. The boss in the mines with the grenades is proving tough to kill.

Easy enough to get their life down and avoid the grenades, flamethrower etc..but when they rush me with the melee I cannot get away fast enough and it’s one shotting me.

I thought this week stash/currency tabs were supposed to go on sale? I believe I read it here, unless I am mistaken.

Any idea on when that might happen?

Yes based on cycle timings there should have been a sale on them, but I guess GGG are being shrewd and hoping that people pay full price in the first week(s)

A lot of people don't have their coins yet (me included) so maybe sales are delayed?
MTX / stash tabs are available now ... no sale on atm though, so think I'll wait until they do a discount. With the reduction in loot drops in POE2 I'm not exactly needing more stash tabs right now anyway.

Finally doing some decent damage now. I was struggling a little, but scatter support gem + lightning rod + lightning arrow has increased my DPS output quite significantly. I just need to get some other gems that I'm missing, even Lv1 ones.

When you see him shove a grenade in his mouth, start running away, he will pause before exploding and allow you to get some distance. Pretty sure If you stack some fire resistance its no longer a one-shot and you can flask up afterward.

Has anyone tried to play this on the steamdeck?

I am playing on steam deck oled. I try and tune for 45 fps and when actually fighting that stays pretty much locked as far as I have noticed. I have the settings on the lowest they will go with FSR balanced and it looks good enough to me. In towns the FPS drops into the 30's or even below depending on how many people are in the area but for inventory management just interacting with the NPCs it is fine even if it is not ideal. I could probably turn on dynamic resolution to help out in the towns but it does not bother me enough to bother.

Need to get to endgame maps to see how it holds up when you start juicing the content but I don't get that much time to play so it will be a while before I get there.

Thanks for details response. Did enjoy d4 on the deck but not in a rush so may hold off a few more weeks to see what the feedback is like

I'm enjoying it so far, familiar enough while been different and Improved in a lot of ways.
I think I preferred the old skill gem mechanic though to the new one. i preferred gems levellimg up.with you when they were equipped and i quite liked the socketing them in equipment. It does feel a bit more limiting in how it let's you do support gems so far.

I honestly wasn't sure how wasd movement would be but I really think it works well, been able to move and roll while casting works very smoothly.

With the newly adjusted drop rates it's striking a good balance where it's not as saturated as poe1 but giving enough usable gear.

I'm not sure what happened, everything was going well with my Flurry + Bell Monk, then halfway through the second act everything just slaps me and it feels awful to play.
