Path of Exile(diablo clone)

Got a couple of 5 slot items (gear/weapons) if any one is after any ;)

I finally made one this morning! I've been using a 4L red karui mace for a while with ~70% extra phys and some other attributes that aren't useful to me, but I finally got lucky with yet another orb of fusing on the weapon I've had in my stash for ages. Crafted from white, but I've used many orbs trying to fuse the links. It's now a 5L, 4 red and 1 green, with almost identical phys plus 19% attack speed and a tiny amount of strength and lightning damage. I added faster attacks to the green socket, so I've suddenly had a 45% increase in ground slam speed. 0.52s now, which has made a big difference. I'm hoping to get a divine orb because I think it's very likely that the values will increase.

Is the 5 slot gear you're selling linked? It's the linking that's the key point - just having the slots is almost irrelevant. I sell 6 slot stuff to vendors (you get 7 jeweller's orbs for it - pretty decent). I could use a 5L torso armour so I can add faster attacks to my heavy strike as well.

Yeah I think it would have to be 5 link to be really epic :p

Not at the stage I can freely throw away Alchemy to create items anyway. Last thing I did was beat Piety on Merciless with my Templar but I couldn't decide where to put his skill points and then got distracted by XCOM.

I'm not quite there yet. I'm near the beginning of act 3 on merciless, but I've spent a lot of time farming for those orbs of fusing and didn't really start act 3 until I had the 5L weapon.

By my rough calculations, I could spend about 150 skill points, so I'm also undecided about where to put the ones I'll be getting :) I think I'll get to the increased area of effect and area damage skill in the templar area (I'm a marauder), picking up some life nodes on the way, add lava lash for 30% extra fire damage (I have added fire damage support gems for my skills, so extra fire damage will scale straight with my physical damage - the 30% bonus will add about 12% to my total damage) and use any remaining for more life. Extra phys damage nodes become increasingly less worthwhile as they're scaled from your base damage - there's not much difference between 1000% and 1008% damage - so I think more life is the better bet. I use blood magic, so I can always use more life.

I'm stashing endgame maps as well - got about 20 so far. Gemcutter prisms would be very nice - free bonuses that can't be got any other way.

I'm still getting a lot of fun out of this game, even after many hours. My next target is to get into the high score table. It says a lot about the popularity of the game that even after all this time I'm nowhere near the bottom of the table, which contains 15,000 players.

Think I've come across 5 of so. Not really sure what is worth doing on them though. All of them are lvl66 and only a couple are magic. Easy enough to magic them up I guess but is that worth doing? Hard to say.

66 maps sell for 1 alch each and you can swap 2 lvl 66 for one 67 map.

If you're just starting maps though I think its definitely worth transmuting and augmenting them, with some luck you might get a maze or increased area or pack size mod.

Well my Templar is lvl63 atm. Gave a lvl66 map a go. Easy enough but then it was against Merveil spawns, Zombies and frigging Cinder Elementals so aside from the Cinders taking ages to kill nothing was much of a threat.

can you re-use the maps or are they a one time use, got 4 or 5 of em so far but there all in the 60's an im only 58 Ranger :( boo hooooooo lol.

Started me Merc difficulty an thought yep im going back to the docks get some grinding in lol, tryin Merc difficulty first time at 48 was no fun what so ever lol

to me
Your Path of Exile account has been locked because someone attempted to log in from a location that you don't typically play from - "Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China".

 Good job I saw that email instantly and managed to change PW in time

Decided to give this another shot today, not really played a char since open beta.

First unidentified item that drops was Brown :D wool gloves with 22 energy shield, with +18 energy shield, 4-8 fire dmg, 1-13 lightning, and +20 item quantity

Long may the unique loots continue!

Starting a ranger, but I think I'll switch to something I've not tried before... shadow most likely.
