Path of Exile(diablo clone)

I've just completed act 3 on merciless. All that farming I did in my fixation on making a 5L weapon made it easier than it was on cruel difficulty.

Now I have a 5 socket astral plate to link. Another billion orbs needed :)

I may have to load up with item quantity stuff and farm a low level on normal just for whites to sell for scrolls of wisdom, as I'm using more than I'm finding. I've just farmed for ~30 of them and it's very tedious. A portal gem would be great, but I've never seen one.
 
Im just finishing off Act 2 on Merc difficulty what a nightmare it is so far,i really hope this is the last difficulty.

Think i need find some where to farm (level 59) to make things a bit easier for my self.

Bit of a daft question but does the Strength passives aid the class Ranger? i don't have any melee weapons equipped.

You could always make another HC player take them to the first camp then get them killed they should have access to your stash then.

Is there any thing you would like for the Blind gem.
 
Really enjoying being back to this game, so many more spells, items and an extra act. Staying alive seems more difficult too.

Have a Bow Ranger, Summoning Witch, and Ethereal Knives Shadow.

I've been reading material from the developers. They tried a 4th difficulty level earlier in closed beta and it didn't work very well. It was intended as a challenge for endgame players, but it didn't work and they removed it. The map creation items replaced it as a challenge for endgame players and that's worked far better, so they have no plans to bring the 4th difficulty level back.

Cruel to Merciless is quite a hike. I was death on legs at the end of cruel and mob snack food at the beginning of merciless.

You can go to any area on cruel difficulty from any waypoint in merciless - the difficulty levels are tabs at the top of the map you get when you click on a waypoint. If you can't yet find anywhere to farm on merciless, you might well find it worthwhile to farm the docks in act 3 on cruel difficulty. Level 1 of the fellshrine church dungeon is good when you can get to it on merciless. Level 2 is a lot harder because of the mobs with necromancy - if you can't slaughter packs of undead quickly enough you just can't get to them. You might find that easier as a ranger, of course. I'm a marauder, so my range is much shorter.

I'd aim for 80% elemental resistances on merciless and at least 0% chaos res. The non-phys damage on merciless level is, well, merciless :)
 
Well me merc difficulty is all complete now thank god, wunna be doing that difficulty again any time soon lol.

Just stuck grinding now il be happy once i get me ranger to 80 then il move on to the next role, currently sitting at level 62.

You can start playing whenever.
As for starting class i don't know, i'd probably say play a ranged class as they are a bit easier. You are probably better off looking on the poe forum for some builds and see what you like
 
Been playing this for about 2 weeks now, 41 Marauder(Ground slam, lots of health nodes) and my Witch 45, Freezing pulse and Ice spear totem. Enjoying them both but kind of hit a wall with my Witch finding it really hard to find gear with the right stats and sockets. Have some currency to trade but dont know if thats worth saving till I get higher? Great game though for free, some brilliant sytems/ideas.
