Its nothing special but i use it on my lvl76 main because i havent found anything better :(

If you need stuff add me i probably got loads in my stash
Character sir_hairy_muff :D

Picked up this game a few weeks ago and not stopped playing it since. The skill tree is massive and a little daunting at first. Currently got a ranger to level 54 but need to get a better bow as mobs are causing me too many problems. Could really do with a 5 linked one . If anyone has one i'll trade them for it :)

Does anyone know if ocuk have a guild setup?

what kind of bow? think i had 1 or 2 5L bows somewhere. :o

Depends on the item and the skill, for example, Spectral Throw creates a projectile with stats based on your physical melee weapon. It uses your weapon's base damage, and any "plus % to physical damage" or "plus % to projectile damage" stats, but NOT "plus % to melee damage" or "plus % to melee physical damage".

confusingly, it even benefits from "plus % physcial damage with melee weapons"!

(it's a physical projectile attack based on the physical damage stats of your melee weapon, but is not itself a melee attack).

I wouldn't say its all that confusing. Its not a spell so it won't benefit from spell damage. Its not a melee attack so it won't benefit from melee damage boosts. Its a projectile attack that happens to use a melee weapon so anything that is on the weapon will have an effect since its based off the weapons stats.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I don't personally find it confusing, because like you I've played the game enough to get the feel of such things. From the point of view of a relatively new player though, if you aren't aware that (for example):

Physical damage
Physical damage with a melee weapon
and
Physcial melee damage

are all in the game and all do different things, then you may pick up an item with one of them on and not get why it does or doesn't affect your skill of choice. When presented with the three of them it's easy enough to see the difference, so once you've played a while it all makes sense.

Fair point.

The really awkward is always 'Increased' versus 'More' ><

If anyone is interested in doing a guild on Nemesis/Domination I would be happy to dump some points into it.

I only play the seasonal content myself so if anyone is on Standard or Hardcore especially I should have a few pieces of currency I can hand out.

is there any way to stop moving while you are trying to fire at a beasty??

I'm sick of charging in instead of firing when i click the ground near a target!

I'll keep an eye out for that, looks like you only get it as a reward for completing some mission as the Scion, I'm yet to even unlock the Scion so won't be any time soon!

Re: my char. Checking the actual Spell DPS, much better values there but still no idea if they are particularly great. 200 from fireball, nearly 300 from either cold snap of freezing pulse.

Anyone feel free to add me - Floydy

Skill points can be refunded one at a time, and most characters only get < 10 points worth from quests / random drops unless you trade for them.

Most of the time, you're looking at re-rolling if you go seriously wrong, unless you're really high level in which case trading for the orbs (of Regret) can be worth the time.

Spent some time levelling up a Duelist this afternoon so I could make the most of the Unique ******* Sword I have found - Shiversting. It's so overpowered compared to the weapon I had before it (probably 2.5x the dps) and it's not like I was struggling before. Got to level 15 or so without spending any passive skill points and I was still one hit killing most things. So much easier than Witch to play!

Using some of the skill gems I had found with my witch, so I'm nicely loaded up already. Leap Slam/Flicker Strike are good fun. Using spectral throw is really handy too, especially with a life on hit gem linked to it - when I've got some gear with more links I'll get the Leap Slam in with that gem too I reckon.

Melee classes are more fun than I thought they were going to be :)

edit - lol @ the automatic filtering of the sword name :D

beat Dominious last night on normal for the first time. He killed me once when I tried with 45% lightning resists so went and farmed for an hour then destroyed him using 75% resists :)

Trying out a spectral throw scion now but seems a bit slow as no multi or split gems found yet.
