Path of Exile(diablo clone)

Is it just me or is the new content slightly overtuned for non-armour users? As a witch everything seems to be phys damage and it's just ripping through me at the moment, even with Artic Armour running all the time.
Think when I switch over to the hardcore league, like a man, I'll have to try out a some kind of armour based build as it looks to be dominating at the minute. Or possibly a cyclone/evasion build and pray the rng gods favour me and I just don't get hit!

well i got through malachai cruel with my lv60 2k hp witch, but i did have 1.5k armor, picked up a sweet +500 armor unique helm just before, im passiving fire/armor/health. was still lots of flask action happening.

but yeah, the game got harder.

what type of summoner?
classic, srs, hybrid, lowlife

i'd check the usual suspects for summoners, ghazzy & angryaa

angryaa plays a lot of summoner. so i'd stick with his guide and adjust slightly to your playstyle.

I haven't looked at the summoner in 2.0 so not sure how much the builds have changed.

Playing a Glacial Cascade witch in Warband, currently lvl 68. Cascade is very nice these day, having a little hard time with defence on the witch though, what with all the change.

Will probably play Tempest soon, I usually play hardcore, but Malachai destroyed my FPS. Upgraded from a GTX570 to a GTX970, and it's now playable, so I'll switch over.
Probably won't build another witch though. I have plans to re-do my dual one handed sword reave ranger from 1.3, especially now that reave has been buffed.

Everyone enjoying no de-sync?

Yup its much better, there are still odd lag moments tho, but its improved the game tons.

Whats the best map for level grinding guys? im currently at 71 an really struggling to progress my Ranger

Any tips would be great

What do you mean best map? Just do all of the ones you have. Even the lowest level ones will good xp at 71.

Have you set it to lockstep? (Login screen>options>UI>Networking mode)

Whats your ping like in game (press f1 twice I think to get the ping meter up seperately)

Yeah I tried lockstep but its much worse, predictive is much better but still get lag spikes , my ping is about 50ms .

Whhhhhhhhhhhhat, even before all the up dates most maps/locations were garbage for level farming once you reached a certain level lol.

You do know how the leveling works don't you? a low level will not give good xp to a high level player.

Most were farming Docks.

I think he meant actual maps that you use in the eternal lab/hideout, not the open world areas.

Those are maps. Those are path of exiles endgame. At level 70 you should be doing maps to level. If you are talking about clearing zones for XP, then Aqueduct/Dried Lake/Mines would be best, but what I just linked are maps. Those are what you should be doing.

You get full XP from any area that is your level. The further you are above (or below) your level, the less XP you get.

At level 71 you get full XP from, I believe, zones level 64-78.

Maps start at level 66.

Merciless Docks was level 62 pre-patch, not sure if that's changed now.

Possibly the question you meant to ask was "what zone is best to farm at level 71" but you used the word 'map' which means something more specific in Path of Exile. If you meant zones, then anywhere in act 4 merciless should give you full XP, so pick the highest level zone you can clear efficiently. Dried Lake and Mines are often suggested in my experience, and Tune seems to agree about those.
