Path of Exile(diablo clone)

So what are people settled on for their league starter? Was tempted with a run of the mill SRS but ended up with a no frills elemental bow build for speed clearing (might grab a Windripper for IIR/IIQ if they are cheap enough this league).

trying new storm burst skill.
 
Playing the frostblades build by malthenil ( tho theres 3 builds almost identical ) & so far so good, A4 atm & all going well, only 1 death to a trap in the trials early on (stupid mobs blocking me, anyone would think they were trying to get me killed :)), good clear speed, fairly easy to get weapon upgrades so far, playing SSF.

went full ele blade vortex in the end.

currently at lvl83, however not getting lucky with map drops :(
 
So, I heard there was new content for this and re-installed.

Level 68, last time I was playing the new thing was a labyrinth? Didn't play much of it however.

Logged in last night and I'm in a new area and have been given a load of achievements that i didn't do and something to do with god powers? Can anyone elaborate on what I've missed?

edit:
Found out the God powers are for the Pantheon system, but why do I have these if I haven't killed any gods yet?

Been playing this lately. I've tried to play it several times before but could never really get into it.

Just finished Act 4. Killing malachai who the game has been teasing as a big bad for the whole game.

I got no rewards. He didn't even drop a rare let alone a unique. I get back to town and get a few "cheers" but no rewards :/ This game could really do with adding more of a reward system!

You haven't accomplished much, why would you be rewarded? :D
