PC-7 'real-life' shot please

I think someone should rename the topic title to "Official Lian-Li PC7 Club" :D

I've just taken some pics of mine while i had a little hoover in there, and stuck my Ninja back in :)

Eventually i will replace my Pioneer 111D with a black drive, and add a Zalman ZM-MFC2 Multi Fan Controller

Very nice, perfect pics for me as I am also using the Ninja on my new PC. Nice to see the Ninja doesn't take over the whole case like it does with my current one.

Well I just spent £3 on some LEDs for the front, I bought two. They are quite expensive, but I bought a blue one with 10000mcd, and a red one with 6000mcd - If you buy some of the 'superbright' ones from the popular electronics shop the most you'll get is 4000mcd...so these are going to be BRIGHT. :D

The place I got them sells all sorts, but blue only comes in 10000mcd or 3000mcd including a flashing eliment. I just wanted plain colour, plus it has to shine through the little plastic bits on the front, so it should cut down on the brightness. I do love the warning though...
Do Not look at these Leds Directly they are Blinding !!

I'll use the Blue one for the power and the Red one for the HDD activily, unless I decide that the blue one is too bright, then it may have to be on the HDD.

I'll post up piccies of chaning the LEDs once the arrive, and obviously final product images. :)

Jay,take the grill off your rear 120mm fan it should shift abit more air then.

Cheers, ill try that now :D

Come 22nd July, i think ill get a E6550, DS3 (P35) and 3 Noctua 120mm 1200rpm fans to swap with the stock lian-li ones. Also might go for a TT120/Extreme. I think its the bloody fan on my 7600 that is making all the noise, so ill get a passively cooled one aswell, and of course a black dvd-rw drive :p

It seems, after my hoover yesterday, my power LED has died :o.
Any ideas lads?

Hehe, good question then. :p

The only other posibility is that you shorted the LED and blew it, which is highly unlikely.

I'm about to turn this PC off and remove my LEDs (ready for the new ones next week), so I'll take a gander at what you could have done in yours.

Cheers, just looked back at my inside case pic, wondering how im going to get that fan guard off without taking the beast Ninja out. Knackered all the push pins last time, swapped them with the stock intel cooler push pins, i hope i dont bend them all again :(

Are they easy to change the LEDs? I'd like to do blue/red myself :)

I don't know yet, the PC is in peices right now (cable tidying etc.) and I have to find my soledring iron. But I can't see why it would be hard to change them. Cut the old ones off, strip the wires in the case a bit, solder the new ones on, then heatwrap/leccy tape over the solder.

From what i encountered when trying to sort my power LED out, is you just take the front face off, and the side panel, and simply push the LED out from the front. And then swap the LEDs and push the new one back in. Im not 100% sure, but from what i saw, that looks as its the way to do it :)

Tidied my case.

It still looks messy, but all the cables are now against the far side of the case instead of being all over the place. The Mobo layout and the amount of stuff I have in there doesn't help with keeping it tidy for cables though.

I also took a few photos of the LEDs and did a video of how to remove them...

You can see the little pegs on the LEDs, all you need to do is open them and pull the LED out, nice and simple, like so...

Once the new LEDs arrive I'll also make a post/thread about how to install the new ones. With pictures, and maybe even videos. :)

-=EDIT=-
Oh, and Jay, couldn't see how you could break the LED. It's got that heatshrink on the legs, and they are about all that I could see that could break. If the legs aren't stiff then you have broken it. At the mobo end though, unless you snapped a pin off the mobo there doesn't seem to be any way it can break really...unless you yanked the wires out of the plug...
