PC Games Intel performance testing fake.

Always a good read these threads.

What gets me is why are people so bothered???

It's like the haters always have something to say like it really means the world to them. If someone likes something they will buy it. What will be will be

Heh, always someone posting to say they're not bothered but couldn't help posting how not bothered they are ;)

You're spot on with this. I stopped following the 9000 series thread when I saw how these benchmarks were contrived, as my interest in buying a 9900k is now gone.

And that's it, done and dusted. The cash stays in my pocket until next time. :)

I'm more than happy with what i paid for what i have. No matter the game, bench or program, my rig is better and faster than a Ryzen rig, pound for pound so what do it have to worry about?

If something is better, bang for buck I'll buy it. Ive actually built more AMD rigs than i have Intel.

Actually I think we might all have become distracted. Accept that the Ryzen testing is FUBARed, looking at the GN video what I do think is a thing is the 9900k scores.

We are looking at an expensive but very capable chip. The chip shortages have put it really close to Threadripper and I think that the TR chips are going to show massive improvement as we see better threading support moving forward.

But if you are going to build the best gaming rig now and want it to last a good few years then the 9900 is definitely the choice right now.

Yeah, but did anyone doubt that the 9900k was going to be better than the previous intel generation? Of course it's going to be the best gaming chip out there.

This was a hatchet job on the 2700x, and little else. Bad ram setup, poor cooler, and disabled half the blooming processing power!

The 9900k would have been better even if the 2700x had all the right settings setup, it still would have been the best.

The problem is the price not the performance - all the people who want the new shiny will buy it even if it cost £1000 by pre-ordering it,but after that they needed to justify it to everyone else, who might be in the market for a new CPU.

Rememeber, this is the most expensive Intel consumer socket CPU for a decade,so it sounds much better for the 9900K to beat a half price 2700X by 50% than say 20% and so on.

Because it's shady as hell, you can't mislead consumers to try and sell your products, end of.

this is the truth and why i just buy what i want the brand means nothing. amd are just as bad as intel. its just intel are faster at doing it. :p
Same I hate all of them make does not matter. I just watch what best thing I can get for money i got to blow up and I buy it.
Saddest thing with all of this is that Intel does not need to do any of this fake tricky ****. When You get 9900k under water pump volts in run it 5ghz on all cores it will rape 2700x in gaming and production. Only thing I could whine is Price. But I dont whine about price of GTR just cause I cant afford it :D

Principled Technologies has updated their benchmarks and this shows a big difference for the 2700X vs the 9900K in games such as GOW 4, Ashes and AC: Origins.

Gamers Nexus response to the updated PT results.

Techpowerup responce: The 9900K is 66% Pricier While Being Just 12% Faster than 2700X at Gaming.

Intel's response? Basically thanks PT, you did a great job and this shows that the 9900K is the best CPU so we still win! :D
