Here are the stats I found for this season: (goals/assists)

Mata: 18/21 = 39
V Persie: 28/8 = 36
Suarez: 30/5 = 35
Bale: 23/8 = 31

Taking into account their respective teams, you'd have to say Suarez has done the most. He's scored the most goals in a rather poor side. V Persie has impressive stats but is playing for the team who are top of the league by quite a long way. The number of assists Mata has got this season is quite incredible so I would put him in second.

1. Suarez
2. Mata
3. V Persie
4. Bale

Anyone know if it's just the players who's votes count? Found it interested to hear during the game that Wenger voted for or would have voted for Carrick as POTY (cant remember exactly what was said)

I think RvP genuinely deserves it (may be marginally biased :p), though I fear the time of the first lot of votes or whatever will count against him and Bale could get it.

No, it seems legit. Who do you think should have won?

Where do I start?! :p

I don't care because he's off to Man U but there was tons of better players with stats to boot, Ince, Rhodes, Murray, Eagles etc all had a lot better seasons.

8 assists and 6 goals. Madness.

18 goals and 14 assists. Ince at a much worst club.
11 goals and 12 assists. Eagles.
Rhodes 29 goals in his first season in the Championship.

I'm sure most of the guys with their supported clubs in the Championship will agree.

Eagles as in Chris Eagles? Christ if Zaha aint better than him then we really have gone and bought a dud :o

Yeah he's quite the star in the Champ :p

Kevin Phillips has played about 10 games all season and has 5 goals to his name, one behind Zaha!
