I hate Liverpool as I said in my first post. I have watched Atletico play more often this season so I think I have a fairly good idea of how good he is. I'd hope that if anyone is claiming Falcao is better than Suarez they have seen him play at least this much.

I'm happy for other people to have different opinions and won't mock you for it. That doesn't seem to be the case for everyone so I'll leave it there, all I'm saying is that given the choice I'd be much happier if my club signed Suarez than Falcao.

One thing I will say is that I don't see Suarez play every week so my opinion is based on watching him play when Liverpool/Uruguay are on tv, when he plays against my team and highlights. So I don't claim to be an expert on all things Suarez. But then I doubt anyone is unless they support Liverpool, in which case I think they would probably be agreeing with me anyway!

Well now you've cleared up who you support I'll answer your question...

Who else would you suggest? I would much rather have Suarez at my club than Falcao/Xavi/Pirlo/Neymar...

I wouldn't swap either Rooney or RVP for Suarez :)

EDIT: Before that comment instigates an argument with anyone I'm well aware that likewise I doubt Liverpool supporters would swap Suarez for Rooney or RVP or even Messi or Ronaldo :p

You didnt say natural finisher though, there is a big difference between natural & superb, Suarez's goal scoring record is easily on a par with Falcao, it could be argued that Falcao has played for better teams in recent years in Porto and Athletico and as such his goal return would be better, yet in internationals Suarez has a better record.

Yes he had a blip last season, but as he has proven this season he is a superb, instinctive finisher.

Suarez! He has played in a couple of different positions and been consistent all season so far. While people might not like him his talent is unquestionable.

Falcao is obviously a better finisher but I think Suarez isn't given enough credit in that department. You only have to look at his goal tally for Uruguay, Ajax and this season for Liverpool.

That really is it now because I don't think Falcao is in contention for the PFA :p

Can't believe no-one challenged my Downing entry :D

You weren't serious? I read the other day that he's got more goals in the league this season than Nani, Young and Valencia combined :p

edit: and we have 19 Spurs fans on here?

If he carries on that progression next season he'll be outscoring Messi and Ronaldo combined

Suarez's goal scoring record is easily on a par with Falcao

According to Wiki Falcao has 27 goals in 28 club apps this season, and in the WORST of the previous two seasons his haul was 36.

Suarez on the other hand has 29 from 39 apps this season and the BEST he managed in the two previous seasons was 17 - i.e. his best was less than than half of Falcao's worst.

Personally I wouldn't view that as 'easily on a par with' based on the 3 most recent seasons, although comparing across leagues isn't ideal in any case. Falcao played more games but is still much better in terms of goals to games ratio during that period (two previous seasons Suarez overall record is worse than 1 in 2 for example).

Somehow (don't ask me how) Hazard has been short listed for the PFA Player of the Year (and Young player though that's more understandable). Full short list;

PFA Young Player of the Year
Bale
Benteke
Hazard
Lukaku
Welbeck
Wilshere

PFA Player of the Year
Bale
Carrick
Hazard
Mata
Suarez
RVP

Get the **** in Xavick

EDIT: Bale the overriding favourite for both
