PFA Player of the Year Nomination's

I'd have Lennon 2nd behind Fabregas. He's the youngest of the lot and has been magnificent.
Not saying he is a bad player but he has barely played, where as Sissoko has started most of Liverpool's games and has arguably been Liverpool's best player this season.

Sissoko

Lennon

Don't know the accuracy of the data, but it seems to me that on appearances they're evenly matched.

I dont keep track of Liverpools starting 11, but wouldnt it be a tad OTT to say he's started most of the games?

How long has he been out injured now with his eye problem?

He's started 31 games and he came back from his eye injury 3 weeks ago (only out for 4 weeks).

Ah, is that including qualification to the CL, etc? That might be why there's a difference.
No idea, he started 2 of the CL qualifiers, so if your place says he started 29 then its possible.

Said 22, but that might not be Mickey Mouse cups. Lennon and Sissoko have had the same amount of starts in the League.

I'd have Lennon 2nd behind Fabregas. He's the youngest of the lot and has been magnificent.

I can't really comment on a lot of the players as I haven't seen them play much but Lennon has been fantastic for Spurs this season.

He's certainly lightweight, but he's got pace, determination, skill and is an excellent crosser of the ball. Lennon is fantastically entertaining to watch.

I hope Spurs can keep hold of him because I'm sure that there will soon be a long queue of teams wanting to sign him.

I'm surprised Dawson didn't make the young player of the year list too (maybe he's a year too old?). He's been a rock at the back for Spurs this season and is improving with every game.

POTY: I'd say Rooney deserves this but I'd like to see Cole win aswell as he has been fantastique. Henry is really another level but he was part of a team that struggled mid season and was injured for a while? (I think) which ruins his chances somewhat.

YPOTY: I really would say Sissoko if he were in it but Fabregas will win I think.

The london media influence has once again shone through. Fibreglass young player of the year? Give me a break, the award is based on form....he's played one overhyped game in the champions league. Sissoko has been far more consistant, including outstanding performances against both United and Arsenal at home.

Gota agree with Terry for player of the year though, a collosus, but then again, so is our very own JC. :D

Dont Know if this was done last year before the champs league final was played, but if it was then it has to be Steven Gerrard - no other player on that list has carried a team like Gerrard has/did in that final, and i feel he deserves the vote. While we arent a one man team, this guy has been phenomenal since taking over the captains armband and duly deserves player of the year IMO.

Fabregas for young player; im so happy he showed viera how to play football the other week, one of the best moments this season for me :)

Thierry Henry
Young Player : Wayne Rooney

BINGO

I'm sorry but you just can't beat Henry this year, he has been absolutely incredible and consistent compared to joe cole/lampard etc.

As for young player, it's gotta be Rooney. Once again hes been the most consistently brilliant of the lot. I don't know how any of you can say Fabregas. He has done nothing all season until recently so hardly young player OF THE SEASON
