Gerrard seems the bookies favourite now & at this late stage that usually means he'll win it. Don't really know why though as he's had an average season at best to be honest. Terry on the other hand has been consistently brilliant.

Average season? He was player of the month for December and January IIRC. Can't remember Terry winning it once. (may be wrong though)

i cant understand why sissoko didn't get a nomination for young player of the year. He is only 20 and has been immense in his first season in the Prem.

I am unsure about Gerrard winning it. I have watched him in every game for Liverpool this season and he has been nowhere near the level of last season for us- possibly because he has had to play out wide.

I would give Rooney player of the year and Darren Bent young player from that list.

Totally agree with you about Sissoko.
As for Gerrard 19 goals from RM, yea he's been terrible :rolleyes:

Gerrard hasnt won player of the month; i think he is mistaken as Rafa won manger of the month for Nov and Dec iirc. Rooney has won POTM twice.

Im on about the Barclays POTM award. Hope Gerrard wins it tho; think pool deserve some recognition for the CL win last year. Gerrard was magic

Ah right, in that case Christiano Ronaldo has as much chance as Gerrard

To be honest though, the major award to win is the Player's Player, that's what means the most to any Professional

As there is no players player of the month and i thought he won it twice (which would have meant he won that more than any other player) which subsequently would have meant more people were of the opinion that Gerrard had a better season than Terry. I know it has no real impact on the award but thought i would mention it.

The fans player of the month doesn't really give any real reflection of a players seasonal performance though
