PGA Tour 2K21

Well the 2nd attempt at Q School went a little better than +4. Annoyingly on the 18th I hit my 3rd shot into the hole from a bunker for an eagle, pressed X to save the shot, using an XBox One X controller, but it doesn't seem to have saved.

I'm not really sure the courses look any better than 2019, but the general presentation and UI has been much improved.

Not massively no, in general the textures have improved the most. Grass blades look lush, bunker sand looks better, trees also massively improved. But the key area for me is the new lighting model, it's incredible just how much a game will look better by getting correct lighting.

And like you say, the UI looks fab.

Very tempted with this, haven't played a good golf game since the Sega :p.

Little put off by the £45 asking price - what are the thoughts of those that own it?

If you're into golf, can live without the 2 or 3 click swing system and use a mouse or controller joystick to swing the club, then this is a great game. It's £38.99 on CDKeys where a few of us here bought it.

I got it, just going through tutorial right now

Why the hell am I so bad at moving my ps4 controller stick in a straight line:o

I read somewhere that it's easier to hold the stick with your thumb on the underside and your forefinger on the top. All I do then is a slow swing and slice it. I have a lot more success just using my thumb on the top.

Yeh I've not worked out how to swing a right speed yet

I'm physically trying to move the stick as quick as possible..."very slow" lol

I'm easily going to put 200 hours into this, making it a bargain. Infinite replayability thanks to the course designer.

Just made it out of Q school on attempt 4. I have the control difficulty on pro, but the AI on easy! I still have some muscle memory from the old game, so find I can putt better by just ignoring the power bar (as the old game didn't have one). Really struggling to find the right swing tempo. The commentary is bugged though - I was P56 on the leaderboard and Luke Elvy was saying I just need to birdie the next hole to get into the top 10 (not a chance!)

Yeah pro is really hard, and I put hundreds of hours into the TGC games.

Currently on pro-am which is about the right level for now.

Anyone looking for a nice course to play should try out Pearl Mountain:
