PGA Tour 2K21

Really really struggling with tempo. Doing exactly the same thing each time but either getting too fast or very slow.

Maybe drop a skill level. May also be worth trying the swing calibration under main menu > training.

For putting, you can afford to be really slow and gentle with your backswing.

I'm swinging on Pro-Am and, currently, that seems to be the right level of difficulty for me. If I do a "gentle" pull back to the joystick and at the top of the back swing I push forward, I can't think of the right word, forcibly, I get perfect enough of the time to make me think there's something in it. Of course I could be kidding myself.

I discovered there is a swing calibration option which may help things a lot with respect to consistency of your swing. You need to start the Training option from the main menu, and then a menu will pop up and choose swing calibration. There is no way to revert to pre-calibration settings (other than reinstall the game) so use with caution!

Play on Master atm with the distance meter off as I want to try getting involved with the TCG Tours stuff, my swing is alright just having difficulty adjusting to the lack of a distance meter.

I mean officially licenced :p how many are there / how many tournaments are in the offline season?

Why do they have to be officially licenced? Some of the best courses I've played are user created ones that are amazing replicas courses of real ones.

As for the offline season, no idea, I normally play on the online societies like TGCTours or Inglorious ******** but think it'll be enough to get a decent amount of time into, sponsors challenges and difficulty settings.

It's overpriced tbh, not worth more than £30 and I have over 1000 hours in the previous 3 but it's a decent game with solid ganeplayso far.

So that's over 300 hours on each and you think that's only worth £30?

10p per hour of entertainment sounds like an absolute bargain to me.

I quit Golf Club 2019 after 5 hours of play due to shots in the rough and how much power to use. I think at the time it was a common issue? Has that been fixed?

It's a reskin of 2019 with some 'tour' players added - who all have the same swing as all the other player models, they've added some more brands and made some changes to the tempo, that's it. The swing tempo issue's still exist, the same glitches from the very first game still exist, just with a the shiny 2k gloss over the top.

So yeah I think it's only worth £30, bargin VfM or not.

While 2k21 is indeed a lot more polished and wholesome than TGC19, I do have to agree with this post somewhat. £50 for this game is massively overpriced, that's not to say its a bad game though. They've priced it there because it's a niche market, they know video golfers will purchase it regardless, what competition have they got.

I am absolutely loving it BTW.

Think Fifa every year / F1 game - the same people buy Fifa/F1 every year without fail, despite the barely noticeable improvements or changes.

I will purchase it but going to wait for a month or so I think and hopefully it drops in price to under £30 or something.

£38 on CD keys. Well worth that. Especially for anyone who didn't buy TGC 2019.
