Nice shot but the question is, was that shutter speed deliberate to get the wing movement or did that just happen? ;) hehe

It's nice when a shot turns out better than planned :D

Cheers and it was semi planned ;)

I've captured the robin's doing exactly that over the last few days and as the light has been very similar left it in AP to get dof i needed and crossed fingers :D

I've always wanted to get a photo on Springwatch and finally... yes, well, if being part of the #WildPhotoFail gallery on last Thursday's Unsprung counts, then I made it!

This is what happens when you hear, then see your first ever grass snake just before it disappears into the bushes. Note to self: HDR mode is not suitable for hand holding on a moving target. ;-)

Hoping to have similar success this week with this frustratingly 'so near and yet so very far' shot..

And to round it off, my first ever kingfisher shot from last Friday. The light was poor, and the darned thing had briefly alighted only feet away from me, startling me as much as it, before flitting off onto that distant branch. So it was another missed opportunity. Yet I like this as an almost full frame shot... even if the 'eye' up at the top right is a bit creepy.

A couple from the weekend.

If anyone is in the Preston/Fylde area I can definitely recommend a visit to Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary!
