Picked up a LG OLED55B6V

It's the same panel, there is no step down in quality.

Mounting a panel on glass makes no difference, other than to aesthetics.

And 5mm is already thinner than an iPhone 7! Believe me that is plenty thin enough.

More to it than the panel ,higher quality electronics, finer calibration controls ,better SOC ,it all adds up ,at the price you can get an E6 for ,you would be mad not to ,it is BETTER than the B6

Not read the review above, but another point is that the input lag is still worse on the B6 than the E6, and there's debate over whether the B6 will ever be updated to correct this like the E6 has been.

Whether or not this matters depends on if you're gaming on it I suppose.

LG recently confirmed it would get the update in a tweet, so I'm fairly sure that it'll happen.

As an aside, HDR on something like Gears of war 4 isn't enough to make me want to play it on Xbox at 30fps vs 60+ FPS and 21:9 ultrawide resolution I get in PC.

So is it true that no consoles do 60fps in HDR then? What about the PC? Why don't you play it through your PC hooked up to the TV?

I'm pretty sure they do HDR 60 FPS, I used to have a xbox one s and had gears of war 4 online and it showed as a hdr video source and felt like 60 fps personally.

But i have the KS8000.

I'm talking about the campaign mode. Multiplayer is less detailed and runs at 60fps

Weirdly neither Gears of war 4 or Forza Horizon 3 currently support HDR on the PC versions.

Only HDR PC game is Shadow warrior 2.

Waiting for the sales to see if I can get a deal better than the standard £2.5k on the 55e6.

Why not save £700 and go for the C6 ? i hear they both have practically the same image quality and even the same cpu powering them both.

The curve is not a problem for me and the 3D on it is on another level:)

I don't want a curved screen as both our sofas are to the sides of the TV (I know the viewing angles are very good) and not in front, plus I want the sound bar.
