Janesy, your really enjoying this arn't you. :D

Crikey, I think if this thread was about the OP confessing to a murder he would have got a better reaction than this!

Yep, its a crap deal that he will regret a few months down the line but he's only young and will learn from it. Some people always learn the hard way.

I'm not here to please people. James has made numerous silly threads and this just about takes the biscuit and people try and defend it.

Why don't you just take a deep breath, have a smile to yourself and then go outside into the real world. Something like this really shouldn't be annoying you this much! :D

Well it annoys me because he does work hard for his money and he's not a bad person yet he does this to himself. He clearly deserves better than paying brand new price for a car that old! I also guarantee that the car is in a poor state of service as most crapcraft cars are.

If the OP had come here asking for advice before his purchase, I would have been with you guys doing everything to stop it.

Unfortunately with the purchase made it served little use, and looking to bring some balance to the decision is a much more positive approach from where I am sitting. Hence my suggestion about saving money to buy himself out of the agreement.

Wise up - it's done. Nothing you can do about it. OP still thinks its a good idea, let him be deluded in peace. Why waste anymore of your life trying to convince him otherwise?

there is such a thing as a cooldown period, I'm hoping the lack of posts from the OP means he has gone back to carcraft with his tail between his leg and asked them how much it costs to get out of what will otherwise turn out to be one of the worst decisions of his young life.

If I was him I'd be in carcraft right now crying on the floor begging them to cancel the deal. Claim insanity, anything. Even if the OP paid off all the finance tomorrow he'd still have to pay every penny of interest for the whole agreement.

Had you done some research first, or perhaps asked advice from others, you could have been driving an actually nice car - perhaps a better Clio if Clios are what you like - and paying perhaps THOUSANDS less for it.

Somehow I stumbled across this thread through Cliosport where you've become quite famous James.

Anyway yea, 3k gets a 172. Got mine at 19 and paid £1300 FC with a fault claim and 0 NCB at Admiral.

None of this makes sense..

Well I salute you James07 on being on a one man mission to kickstart the economy. We need more people like you to take out these sorts of finasnce agreements in order for the used value of my car to go up so I can flog it for more. ;)

Only young? He's 19...

Just read this thread. I can't believe how seriously deluded he is.

Companies like Carcraft thrive on idiots (sorry to be mean, but it's the truth) like him, and I bet the salesperson had a right laugh after he left.

As Fox said, biggest fail of 2009 so far, and it will take A LOT to beat that. Shocking.

But then we will be straight back in it when people like him take out more finance deals without thinking it through.

I didn't realise you could escape these Car Craft finance agreements, I thought they had them tied up so tight with such high penalties it makes it near impossible to back out of. But if that is a possibility then that avenue really should be explored.

At least worth a trip to the CAB with the contract then.

whole heartedly agree with you

I just went on their website. Are they taking the mick? Those finance deals should be illegal as far as I'm concerned, that's an absolute and utter disgrace.
