Thanks for the tip edgedemon! After searching around I found this, if that's what you were referring to. Sounds good, but the card I have is a fanless 3650 so I doubt it'd be any good even if it was supported (Milkyway@home doesn't support it, so chances are SETI might not either).

The 250GTX and the 9800GTX+ are the same thing, just with different amounts of ram. Nvidia being lazy and relying on new uninformed customers

Aye, I noticed that on a few reviews I read shortly after I posted :o

The 260s are a little on the dear side for me unfortunately, so will give it a miss for now and see where Berkeley go regarding ATI.

I crunch on a 8800GT and its well worth it, I have an 9800GTX to install as well, but I didnt realise they need 2 x 6pin power, so have had to order a molex converter, but I cant wait to see what it does.

What sort of performance do you get with the 8800GT edgedemon, and do you know how much power it draws at 100% load?

I'm also toying with getting an ATI card and running Milkyway@home on it, keeping SETI on the CPU. Not sure what to do, but if SETI are to release a client for ATI cards then I'll go down that route.

I have the 521Mb version and at a rough guess Id say about 60 WU a day, plays all my games, love it. If they do release an ATI app, then I will upgrade and buy one...

Has anyone got any experience/know if it's possible to use BOINC on a HPC Rocks cluster? - Is it possible to set up BOINC and Rosetta purely through the command line?

If so, will be able to get quite a few points for us - currently using the HPC for F@H, if switching is a possibility I'll take the time to switch over temporarily.

Thanks :)

If that is your RAC, it takes a few days to settle down, since that is an averaged cobblestones (points) being returned. As per a well known slogan "Every Little Helps". so that isn't spectacular, but it will depend on how long your PC is running, and what sort of CPU you have.

Have a look at Berserker's stats to get an idea of what many are returning.

It's a c2d laptop @1.6ghz (low power mode) but I run the programme only when I'm not using the laptop (overnight + during day, so quite a while)
