Plastidip

I want satin/matte pink colour. Sadly the wheels I have designated for such a colour need filling and sanding anyway :( Will just have to get them done professionally with actual paint methinks.

has anyone used the stuff to brush on. it looks cheaper to buy it that way.

does it dry smooth , like a sprayed application or with brush marks in it....fancy giving some trim a coat.

bullit

With the wheels, I took them off the car and clay bared then and then washed them down then fully dried them. Once I had done that I masked the tyres with newspaper and masking tape and then began spraying the key is to light coats but lots of them. I couldn't belive how good they were when I was finnished. I used 8 cans to do the 4 wheels I had about half a can left hence the grill getting painted!

Oh and the brake dust doesn't stick half as bad as it used to and it just wipes off no burn marks or anything like that!

we got it cheaper when there was a deal for around the £50 mark, but yes 8 cans I could have done it in less but I wanted to have more coats the truck gets bashed about so wanted it to be pretty strong a normal car I am sure you could use less!

Painting of front splitter with this stuff has commenced.

I'm poo at spraying, so will be interesting on how this turns out. :)

I have a carbon fibre front splitter on my car, which is getting pretty bashed up since i lowered the car (infact hitting a bird the other day actually snapped it in half). I'm considering super glueing the crack together and then coating it in the black plastidip to protect whats left of the splitter.

Let us know how you get on gibbo

I shall go take a photo shortly, just about to commence my 3rd coat. :)

What does it feel like when dry? Does it feel like a coat of plastic it is it rubbery?

Feels like plastic.

That looks very good actually, I'm tempted to do the two bonet scoops on my car.

If I ever get it back from Stratstone *shakes fist*

Typical DIY spray painting effort there Gibbo. :p

Bit of something under the thing you're spraying - that'll do....Oh ****, overspray!!
