PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Amen - so much illogical moaning about it.

OK so in the later circles, both of you have cover. New circle appears, you are forced into an open field and your opponent has a tree to hide behind. Your opponent can take engagements at will and also heal at will all the while having 100% visibility of you. In first person you will of course still be at disadvantage but you will have a much higher chance of re-positioning as your opponent's vision now has a big blind spot.

Still fair?

I've been hit by a nasty bug where you are locked out of your inventory and all your clothes are missing. Anyone else got this? Bluehole say they are aware of the problem.

Yeah of course its fair, in either case it could have been you behind the tree.

I wasn't discussing the RNG possibility, that's another subject entirely.

I'm just pointing out that in 1st person it's a much more level playing field due to more balanced vision regardless of position.

To be fair in fpv the person in the open has the advantage assuming he knows where the guy is.

It's just a different play style neither is more fair than the other. I would quite like fpv once they sort out the head bob/player size.

Happened to me once that I had no clothes in the menu and on the little island but once the game started and I jumped out of the plane it was all fine

I've now tried FPV servers now and did not prefer it. Probably from playing loads of third person, but I much preferred third person. I think the kind of game it is and size of map, lends itself more to third than first. Everyone is right, you are too low as well.

Exactly this @Shimmy - there are benefits to both POVs. Play those to your advantage. It's not the 3rd person view that's causing you to be out in the open when someone else has cover behind a tree, it's you not taking this into account when positioning yourself for the final circles.

I'm not suggesting I do take it into account myself as I mostly run around expecting to die and if I get to the final circles it's more a case of 'Oh balls, I've no cover and I can't hit anyone because I'm rubbish'. I'm just saying that each POV has aspects to it that you can benefit from, and can thus subsequently be at a disadvantage because of.

I'm not disputing that and I was merely making an example. I rarely find myself in such a position, my top 10 percentage last season was nearly 20% for solos and during current season is 50%.

I fully exploit both modes, I just find 1st person a more level playing field compared to 3rd.

Only gamescon ones need the keys the other two are free to get and open and they're selling for £1.42 because people are stupid, sorry I mean impatient/hoping to get that stupid skirt.
