PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Once you're familiar with the controls, the best idea to get to grips with the game is to always deploy somewhere really busy. Either Military base or the School (middle building) or the high rise buildings next to the school. The more battle experience you get the better!. You're better off doing this 20 times in a row and dying quickly to start a new game. If you always pick somewhere quiet, you'll spend 20 mins looting, then get killed and gain no 'fighting' experience.

Get your hands dirty and enjoy :)

One tip..

Get your freefall speed to 234 when your chute is about to open and you'll drop an extra distance, getting you to the ground quicker. (dive down vertically)

Thanks for the tip! I just dove as fast as possible so I'll definitely try that.

:p higher probability of gun bottom right then go above you equals helmut and often another gun.people who get nothing from roof rush to gym or stairwell in front of you so all the rats run directly into your gun ;)

roof = you get gun survive or you run from guy who gets gun. 50/50 survival.its fun though :D

its also fun to follow someone onto the roof and punch them a bunch in the head while they're trying to load the gun, then you take the gun. Doesn't always work, but its pretty great when it does :)

for pubg at 1080 res a 1070 or 1080 is perfect.very close in fps.literally a couple.even matching a 1080ti or beating it.cpu speed or modern cpus really help in pubg.stop those big drops or really bad lows from happening.

your saying that as it's a "good thing" at 1080p, if anything if you run a 1070 or 1080 at 1080p with this game all it does is show you how terrible the optimisation is in this game.

I can run GTA 5 on ultra everything and even upscale the res on my rig with a 1080 but PUBG with everything on very low I can get less than 30% of the fps I get on gta 5.

no i disagree. why ? because its a 2017 game. you need a 2016/2017 gpu to play it with decent settings.that's why new gpus come out every year. gta 5 came out in 2013. you have to keep upto date. cant say un-optimized when you run on older gear.

1070 gtx is the modern 1080 with all ultra gpu.thats what its for and it does it fine in pubg. so the game for what it does actually is fine. my settings at 1080 with a 1070gtx in one rig is lowest 80 fps , avg 120 fps , max 144 fps. thats more than fine for a new game.of this year.

If the min specs represented that I would agree but they don't. So when you're specs are much higher than the minimum required you should expect a decent experience no?

I get lower FPS than you on a 1080 ti. That doesn't scream optimised does it.

So what it'ss a new game, what "new" design features is it using? the rendering distance on it is shocking and the fps you get for what isn't a really gfx intensive game is terrible, does this game look any better or do anything different than fps games that came out 3 years ago?
