PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Agree with others - it's long long time since I've been "hooked" on a game like this.

I've played some many games over the last 20/25 years (yes I'm a middle aged man) and with the exception of one or two games, this has me hooked big time. Whether it's solo, duo or squad, it's very intense, fun, nerve shredding etc.

Very very impressed - they have hit all the right points for me so far in the sense of building on what was good about H1Z1 and ARMA etc - but putting it together into a game that just works. Look forward to where this is heading for the future.

The other day I was searching through a house and some guy obviously didnt realise his mic was open, could hear him tapping the keys on his keyboard outside of the building I was in. So I hid at the top of the stairs, he came in and up and I shot him dead. At which point I heard him say "******** , some guy was hiding up the stairs, killed me when I came up but the doors were closed and he hadnt looted anything"

I guess he was talking to someone in his room.

Thus he learned the first lesson of my tactics, always close the doors behind you because some people will think it means nobody has been in there. Hopefully he will also learn a second lesson, dont have your mic open so that anyone can hear you tapping on your keyboard and talking :)

As soon as I read that the games performance is up to scratch, I'll drop money on it, so far I'm resisting the urge...just

In my case, I just have an old potato for a PC, so no point buying new games now. When I build a new one in May/June, I'll definitely be snapping this up. Performance and feature set will have improved by then too, hopefully.

No interest in playing this but having great fun watching it on Twitch. PyrionFlax's 4 man squads are hilarious fun to watch.

"I swear to god Munt if you get in the driver's seat I'll shoot you in the head!"
I do like those streams. So much so that I caved in a nd bought it, but I'm thinking I should probably have stuck to watching other people play it.

Just got this a few days ago, and i'm having a blast.
Been a few heart-stopping moments when i bump into someone unexpectedly, almost had a heart attack on a few occasions
Obviously the optimizations etc are still needed, but enjoying it as it is at the moment.

You know a game has got you good when, after a long sesh you hear a car pull up outside, and almost leap out of bed to go scope outside your house :D

Finally building a new tower after seeing this game! Been watching it on twitch for a few weeks now and it's made me realise how much I miss pc gaming.

Rust was the last game I was excited about and would've built the tower then but due to financial issues I wasn't able. Hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to be!

Hope to kill you all soon!

Is it wrong that i was peaking out my bedroom curtains this morning, looking for the supply drop, after hearing a cargo plane taking off from my local airport???

That depends weather or not you were about to kill me whilst I was getting the supply drop.

I got my first solo winner, winner chicken dinner today. I was really lucky as due to the rubber banding I was going to quit. This video starts with rubber banding, I jump in a car and I lose control, the car does doughnuts then I jump out and the car continues to do its own thing.
