Mainly because I want solid FPS through the glitches.

Before that i was running 4k, with a few settings on medium and textures on high and it was giving 60fps most of the time but when the game glitched, it dropped very low.

When optimisation hits i will turn up some settings

it's very cpu dependant at the moment - despite having a 980Ti it's maxes 4 cores on my 3570K.

I run similar to above - 1920x1080 - everything on low except AA and Shadows on Ultra.

Yes - Shadows on ultra is a luxury with a big hit.

Not sure how jackfrags is getting such good performance.

I'm taking a break from this until performance has increased. Getting a little tired of the bad network-lag compensation and low fps in areas.

I ran to a flat wall in the pre plane bit, and when I turned everything low my fps actually dropped!

I think it just takes a bit of a play to find a decent set up, I've heard people say when graphic settings are low it looks to your CPU for power. Not sure how true that is.

Great news about the lag. Hopefully in for some smoother games tonight.

I never managed to get past the loading screen bug, countless attempts to fix it. Ended up getting a refund. Will keep an eye out on the updates.

I find in cases like these, in the opening minutes, everybody is busy scavenging and wont expect somebody to go on the offensive with a pistol and nothing to lose! can pay off really well sometimes.

So its not random then, thats a big no no, once everyone gets to see map, game will get boring, surely it should be random.

I'd say it is random, I often drop in the same set of farmhouses on the central hills, i've found everything from low level armor/helmets on some games to level 3 backpacks and silencers & 8x scopes on other games.

Ah, thats good to hear then, if every item was in same place every round, would indeed make game crap, would be no point in playing it.

it is random in terms of how often a specific item will spawn, but i always figured that if i jump into the army base that i'll get better loot. which also means more people will jump off there.

I think the garages that have cars in them are a 100% spawn rate. The ones that are along roads are random I believe.
