PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Very disappointed no 4K blu ray playback via disc`s , as a company i was thinking Sony really wants to push the 4K format to the end user like they did with the blu ray on PS3 , even if it cost more it would have been good to have the choice , this would have really pushed 4K sales worldwide

Hey guys,

Looking to pick one of these up as soon as I get home from being offshore, I've heard a lot of people have been having problems with the auto detect settings on some TV's and issues with their TV's not knowing what display settings to use and just ending up with a blank screen,

Any one had these issues? I've got a Samsung UE55JS8500 SUHDTV, anyone happen to have one of these and had issues with it?

I have the 9000 and have had no problems. Just make sure you turn UHD colour on from the menu and you are good to go.
 
The problem is with LG TV and some other makers where you get a blank screen....
easy to fix until they patch it,

hold the power button on the ps4 pro down until you hear 2 beeps 1 followed by another then let go...

go into safemode and disable HDCP then the ps4 will power up normally then go into system in the settings and untick HDCP protection then you will be able to reboot the ps4 pro without blank screening.....

with 1.4 enabled and 2.2 disabled you will not be able to access netflix or amazon apps until they bring out a tv patch..... but for everything else 4k + HDR + gaming everything works.
 
Seeing this thread is wanting me to come up with a plan to some how get my ps4 pro and hope the wife won't notice the difference however she is quite tech savvy so I can't think of one dammit! And I'll feel guilty bah

Depends on what the devs do, a friend had vr but no 4k tv he still bought one and noticed a nice difference he sold his old ps4 to find it partly

It depends what you play. I only have a 1080p tv, and probably wont get a 4kTV until 2018.

For me, Battlefield 1 online has had a dramatic boost, and that alone was worth it.
 
Someone said they would buy my PS4 for 180£ with 2 old games

Do you think it will drop in price or more offers and still have availability at beginning of December?
