Playstation Plus

I assume the other two games that didn't win are getting released on the same day?

Either way really like the look of plus for September especially super time force :D

Think so, the games that didn't win also get discounted.

Disappointed grow home won, as the zombie one had 4 player that would have been worth a go, and the other option was at least something a bit different.
Was hoping the same for the same reason - would have bought grow home anyway so wanted either of the other 2 for free to at least be an interesting choice to play.

Telsagrads (;)) pretty good, its not at all story driven but a pure physics puzzler. I guess Sony finally decided to support Twisted Metal...

Looking forward to STFU and GH

ps3ud0

hi guys

Been off playstation plus for nearly a year and looking to sign backup. Seen 12 months for around £30 is that about the cheapest it goes for these days?

Anyone else noticed you can't add twisted metal ps3 to your library/download via ps4 as it just comes up with the option to rent via Ps now?

1st September: Super Time Force Ultra (PS4 and PS Vita)
1st September: Twisted Metal (PS3)
1st September: Te****rad (PS4 and PS3)
1st September: La-Mulana EX (PS Vita)
1st September: Xeodrifter (PS4 and PS Vita)

edit: Hahaha that game got censored by forum filter xD

Tried all of the PS4 games last night and have to say this is probably the worst month we have had.

Grow Home is overrated in my opinion - maybe it's just me, but the game feels so slow, like you are stuck in treacle. Visual style personally isn't very appealing either, cel-shading has been and gone - it looks old. 5/10

Te****rad - Very pretty and some slightly different concepts (the red/blue attract/repel things) - but no matter how pretty and how well it plays it's still another 2D platformer - surely it's not just me who is burnt out with them? 7/10

Xeodrifter - Low res terrible graphics, again a 2D game although a shoot-em-up, and gameplay seems to be nothing special - nothing that couldn't have been done on an original gameboy 2/10

Super Time Force Ultra - Again poor graphics, and the 2nd 2D shoot-em-up this month - some interesting mechanics (e.g. bouncing bullets round walls etc), but underwhelming in general 4/10

Maybe it's just me, but honestly I can see why people aren't excited by indie games - as these are merely average. Yet there are decent games out there e.g. Rocket League was excellent and unexpected, and even though I'm not a fan of games with terrible graphics, I am playing Hotline Miami and loving it (mainly because the actual mechanics and replayability is excellent)

Played this last night. Felt all warm and fuzzy from the nostalgia of that gaming era :)

However..... WTF do you have to do to be able to swim?

Went round all the planets and couldn't get anywhere other than on 1 where there is a kind of boss fight but he is ridiculously hard and regenerates health. I got bored of trying to kill him as my pew pew gun barely made a dent.

I guess I must be missing something / doing something wrong?

You have to learn his attack patterns and then he's easy enough to kill. He makes a different noise based on whether he'll use his jumping attack or his dash attack.
Once you defeat that boss you get a Submarine.

Has anyone else been playing Styx that we got free a couple of months back? Although there are some silly glitches and its pretty frustrating at times but actually enjoying it. Are there any other stealthy games like this on the PS4? Maybe ninja ones?

I enjoyed it until you get into combat..... it seems you can only parry and dodge, I can't seem to run away when engaged in combat? the camera stays locked on the enemy. Is their away to run away or do i have to fight it out?

Thief is another stealth game and dishonored can be played stealthy, I have not played thief but dishonored was great on the PC.

Yes, apparently if you are locked into combat you can a) Fight it out, b) Parry once and then roll away from them should give you enough room to run away or c) you can throw a knife before he hits you with his first blow.

The combat isn't great at all but its the most of the other bits I like. The setting and the way that most areas can be done different ways. Some of the environments are pretty vast and I certainly get the sense of vertigo at some stages where you are mentally high.

I have had a couple of frustrating bits. There was one bit that was a real pain where the only way to the following area was through a gate with a armoured knight and archers/knights and there was no way in apart from this gate... I ended up going into cover and throwing a knife at one crossbower, then whistling to get them to come closer till they see you and come even closer so you can grab them and kill them. They wouldn't actually come through the door. I managed to do it after a load of back tracking to realise that was the only way through then just kept trying it.

I think I have Dishonoured on the PS3 when it was free.. might give that a go!

What a load of trips grow home is... Terrible game., and for something so simple looking graphically its got woeful performance issues. That is one game I am very glad I did not pay money for.

As for dishonoured, its a lazy port, but its 1080 solid 30 fps and a very good game just not a very good remaster. If you've never played it. Then its worth a punt.

Should have been 60fps, 1080p tbh.

I'll be enjoying that one on my PC.

Well I got close to the end of Styx and got stuck on The heart of the tree fight with the 3 x Invisible Trolls :(

So I fired up the PS3 yesterday and started Dishonoured and Prototype2. As Prototype2 was the first one I added it came down first and I was playing that for a bit last night. checked this morning tho and Dishonoured was done downloading so I set it installing and should be ready when I get home...
