Playstation Plus

I thought that Alan Wake Remastered ran really well on the PS5. Looked great as well, i dont even remember any dropped frames when there was a silly amount of enemies on screen (One particular bit with a load of other stuff going off)

Its OK. Not a patch on Dead Space Remake, it has its moments and it could have been fantastic but it was obvious it was a bit rushed. It was worth playing through but not really that good and it will probably be a title i will add to my library but never play again.

It’s worth a play through and at times it’s quite good but as above not a patch on Dead Space. I enjoyed my play and will definitely be giving it another go now it’s on PS+.

Yep, I agree it's not a patch on the Dead Space remake (or the original, to be honest) though visually it's excellent, the environments are incredibly detailed. I dropped the difficulty down a notch which made the melee-focused combat far less frustrating, though I gather since I played it at release they've made further adjustments to that, which is positive as it was punishing at times. Once you've unlocked more projectile weapons and upgrades it becomes less of an issue.

I think the main think it lacked compared to Dead Space was spookiness and atmosphere, it didn't really try to mess with you psychologically like DS does. The DLC was a big improvement in that respect, and if you enjoy the main game it's worth picking up the DLC when it's on offer.

I tried it on pc (free with graphics card). I tried the highest difficulty which was easy...until I found with the first enemy  . Definitely Dead space vibes, but the plot was a bit all over the place.

My essentials sub runs out in few days.

Last week it was showing £59.99 for a year which I thought was far to expensive.

Now with black Friday it's showing £47.99.

Shopto psm credit for £45 PSN is £39.85 don't think mine gonna get better for the year.

Ive seen there's discounts but mine is still saying £59.99 for some reason :(

With the price increase on Extra, I think I'll just let it run out and be done with paid subscriptions. Got it at a good price last year and played most of the worthwhile games. Nothing must-play has been added since then anyways and I end up trying games just because I'm subbed not because I'm particularly interested.

If the price hike brought with it access to first-party titles on release like on GP then absolutely but as it is now I'm hesitant even with the BF deals. December leaks are also disappointing if true.

Had some leftover money on my Microsoft account, grabbed a month of ganepass and enjoying LAD Gaiden and Lies of P at 144fps on PC. Won't happen with PS+ as new releases are a rarity.

Maybe if you're absolutely new to PS and haven't played all the games that can now be had for a few quid physically.

They really need to up the ante if they want to up the prices.

Better off getting them on ebay and then flogging them on again when done. Would likely end up costing half what the full whack sub does.

Game Pass is 56% more expensive per year than PS+ Extra though, at RRP.
You're comparing Ultimate with midtier Extra, Ultimate lets you play on both PC and console with cross-saving etc.
First-party games also never get removed and land there on release, even on the basic tier and PC Gamepass is cheaper than Extra.

Ultimate is 17$ per months vs 15$ for Extra so I don't get how it's 56% more expensive per year.
It's a 2$ difference.

Console-only tier is 4 bucks cheaper than Extra, PC-only is 5 bucks cheaper.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the difference in yearly discounts. Well, with what people have been doing, a lot have Ultimate stacked for years for dirt cheap:P

Indeed, because Extra is what you said you had previously, if PS+ was going to start offering first-party games at launch it wouldn't be at the current price.

£39 for a 3 month Game Pass subscription = £156 for 12 months. 12 months PS+ Extra is £100, Premium is £120.

Console-only tier is 4 bucks cheaper than Extra, PC-only is 5 bucks cheaper.
The Console only tier doesn't include online multiplayer. Game Pass Ultimate vs Premium is probably the fairer comparison though in which GPU is £46 more.

They've upped the price significantly without offering anything significant, that's what I'm getting at.

And yeah, comparing Ultimate with Premium is the fairer one and, even at RRP (because as I've said many people have years of that stacked for cheap) it's worth it for offering more new releases and PC-XSX cross-progress/saving IMO.

Fir the price I paid, Extra was decent though.
