I'l ask here as PS3 noob. What's the going rate for ps+ 1 year subs £40? Just so I know what's a good deal on the net when I see one.

The point would be to get the free games while they're available and have them on my account for when the PS4 is released. I was just wondering whether they stay on your account permanently or they are only accessible for a certain period. Plus I'd still get around 6 months PS+ access when the PS4 arrives.

PS+ is only £39.99 so a few decent free games would more than cover the cost.

Well we don't know what will happen with PS+ on PS4 yet. The PS3 games will certainly not be playable natively but whether they will unlock the Gaikai versions, no-one knows.

And Gaikai could be an extra cost etc, I wouldnt want to hedge my bets on a few free games that arent directly accessible straight away or because they require an additional service.

Dont think theres anything technically stopping you though, Im sure you can do it all via the SEN Store website - but dont hold me to that...

Would be a good idea but soo far its been said that the ps4 wont play ps3 games (outside of the streaming thing which wouldnt be related i doubt)

Soo.. Uncharted 3, should I play 1 or 2 first or just go into 3 on the basis that I haven't even finished May (Hitman) or June's (Amular, ICO) games yet..

I can see me having to get a PS3 tbh, as I don't think my 2mb connection will be up to streaming games...

I really wanted to avoid picking up a PS3 after the PS4 is released, but I'll see what Sony say in the coming months.

Play both 1 and 2 first before 3, anyone that tells you differently, put them on ignore

Ive had PS Plus from day one and maybe 10+ games still wrapped in plastic and Ive made sure to play the Uncharted series...

Oh lordy. 2mb connection will take aeons to download multigigabyte games on PS3.

You'll end up leaving it on all day.

i bought god of war a couple days ago and my ps3 hasnt been on in about 6 months so i decided to buy the latest god of war.It came with a 30day trial psn+ so i registered it and decided to download uncharted 3,this is where the fun begins

I downloaded what said was 11gb of video took about 7 hours to download then 30mins to install,i thought this was the game but turns out its just the 3d video so i downloaded the single player part that was 12gb today thats taken about 6 hours to download and another 30minutes to install and still i have no game to play,I cant take much more of this

When i put god of war in the drive i had to wait to download 5 patches that were around 1.5gb in total that took 45 minutes to download and by the time it finished i couldn't be bothered to play
