***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

mgs collection (minus peace walker :S) and i think little big planet but im pretty sure a date isnt set for LBP just aiming for june i may be wrong, still nothing really new other than Gravity rush they need a big RPG

Needs loads more games

Resistance has to hit the spot
Then COD for Xmas
Also Madden, PES... an NBA game... a good racer, I mean not GT but like F1 but good. Some other like original stuff idk Zombie games... would be good.

Vita Question:

Can it work as a camcorder? If so, are there limitations ie file size meaing time restriction on capture or no sound etc

all would be good but they are all already available on other platforms, it really needs a unique ip or something to set it aside from the rest, may try gravity rush but it needs more like that! and more sales like they have done this week on those few games

soul sacrifice & warrior lair are my most wanted atm

Soul sacrifice looks good, but nowhere near realease yet and warriors lair is worrying due to change of name and developer, so ill wait and see on that one!

And just heard the embargo for resistance reviews is its actual release date which in my eyes means the developers arent confident in game but maybe not!

haven't touched the vita for like 3 weeks, and last night i thought i would see if there is any new demo's on the marketplace, switched it on and get "psn is down for maintenance" typical.I am getting close to selling my vita, the lack of games has spoilt it for me.

Not used my vita at all since I got the new iPad. Switch it on and log in to psn now and again to see if there's anything new but no :)

Honestly think iPad, iPhone and android is where portable gaming is going. I have bought and even got for free some absolutely amazing games on the AppStore.

Everybody's golf is on sale for £11.98 on vita, big deal I can get Tiger Woods 12 on iPad for 69p :D and before everyone brings up the touch controll issue, I'm actually finding it much easier playing touch games on iPad than the iPhone.

This is not to say I will sell my vita, I won't but to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it went the way of the Dreamcast.

In order for vita to succeed it Sony should release psone back catalogue and sell the games for £1 to £2 each, PS2 games for £3 to £4 and PSP games for £6 to £7. They also need to release a top notch FPS I.e. Killzone, COD and BF. come this Christmas they need to release a Black Opps 2 vita bundle for as cheap as possible, I'm thinking £149 with game and memory card although £129 would be even better! Don't care if I've paid a premium, just want the vita to do well.

The single most important thing is PSN must be appealing as the AppStore.

Jet set radio is getting a Vita port as well as PS3/X360 and others.

Also some more Sly Cooper

I'll try and post any E3 noise next week. There is one big expected announcement coming with Sony reportedly teaming up with Gaikai to offer online game streaming (Gaikai is like OnLive but better apparently). No idea yet if this will be a PS3 only thing or a Vita thing also.

With Sony projecting 10m unit sales this year there is a lot of expectation on them to show off some cool things in the next few months with E3, gamescom and TGS.

I've struggled a bit with some of the faster Wipeout tracks but I'm getting there. Love how great the game looks on the screen.

I finally gave into my logical side and sold my Vita, there is just nothing coming out that I am excited enough about to make it worth keeping. Feel pretty let down, 90% of releases are remakes or 'lite' versions of existing games and the remaining 10% just don't have any wow factor. I can already see Vita being like my PSP, a handful of decent games but not enough to warrant me keeping it.

As others have said, I think iPhone/iPad/Android is where mobile gaming is heading, cheaper to develop, cheaper to buy and a lot more variety which is the thing I am missing most.

Handhelds can still sell fine, they just need games, the 3DS is selling like hotcakes since the software situation improved.

Theres a place for both the Vita and Ipad on the market in terms of gaming.. the latter is cheap pick up, no fuss, its 50p so what if its pap its only 50p market.

PS Vita has a lot more expectation... near on mobile PS3 specs? or at least comparable and so gamers will expect a lot, not just gameplay but graphics, innovation... but also a pricepoint that compares to the App Store as thats what a lot of people are used to.

I agree all the old stuff should be out for a few quid as a distraction whilst the big juicy releases are developed.
