I highly recommend Gravity Rush too! Fantastic game. Have been playing Atelier Totori Plus on my Vita lately, and while it may not be everyone's cup of tea (the whole game is timed) I'm loving it for the classical JRPG feel.

Thanks :) gravity rush wasnt out when i first had a vita so will download that one for sure!

Could someone explain to me the benefits of saving/sacrificing on soul sacrifice? Other than the obvious gaining magic dmg/health (I assume that's permanent?)

Saving gives you "points" towards your holy level which controls your health and defence. It also gives you Life Essences which are needed to use the Sigils.

Sacrificing gives you "points" towards your chaos level which controls your damage. It also gives you Soul Essences which are also need to use the Sigils.

Having your holy and chaos levels out of balance will give you a light/dark/neutral arm which unlocks extra benefits to some of the Sigils.

Once you hit the level cap (a total of 20 in the demo, 100 in the full game) then you can drop your holy or chaos level back if you want to rebalance your character.

Saving/sacrificing the bosses can change the story and can affect who you get to use as allies later.

Cracking game, have put more time into the demo then a lot of full games I've bought!

My vita from ebay has arrived, not had a loom yet as im at work! Also persona 4 has turned up at home :)

What difficulty should i go for on p4g? I hear u cant change it once u start so i dont wanna go too easy and find i get bored later or the other side it gets to tough! Is normal a good bet? Not played persona before but just finished ni no kuni on normal and have other jrpg experiance

I'd go for normal for your first playthrough, possibly very easy if you want to breeze through it as quickly as possible then tackle hard or something on your New Game+. Personally I dislike anything below normal, you just faceroll the game that way.

I'm finding Normal to be quite a challenge in P3P, but then I've never played a Persona before, and I've hardly played any JRPGs.

Are you grinding enough in Tartarus, and keeping a good variety of Personas with different resistances and elements?

Thanks for the above, ill go normal! Dont want to breeze through it i like a bit of a challenge but not an unfair one lol

If its as good as i hear, ill be playing it through more than once :)

Prepare to have your life stolen :D I was unable to put the game down when I had it on PS2, just kept on playing it one time after the other and the Vita version is even better!

Played just under 2 hours of persona! Seems like it take a bit of time to get going but i think im almost there, not bad in anyway tho! Im enjoying it :)

Yeah it takes a while before they hand the reins over to you (not that it isn't fun from the start), but it's so worth it! Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far :D

I was really enjoying persona until I started the first proper saving someone tv mission. It's so much harder than the two tutorial-y tv missions or I just suck at turn based combat. I'm thinking I should have dumped out and put it on easy :(
On that note is there a way of saving your progress at the start of a floor? It autosaves/checkpoints it but I don't think I can turn my vita off...

If you head back to the entrance (you'll gain the ability to leave from anywhere later in the game) you can save at Philemon's Butterflies, but that's about the only place you can once you enter the TV world. If you're having trouble I recommend grinding a bit to raise the level of your party and Persona, and make sure you have all the elements and resistances covered that you can. Also make sure you sell all materials you don't need for quests to the Blacksmith in town to unlock some really powerful gear that'll help you on your way too.

I had a very brief go on the soul sacrifice demo before work literally like 15 minutes and the first thing that stood out was how cringingly bad the english voices are, so i may go japanese with subs for the first time (i know some gamers love this way anyway)

But the game itself looks good! It seeems like a dark setting like darksouls so im excited to spend more time with it hopefully tnite or p4g :P

The English voice acting is so cringe-worthy I had to change my preorder from Amazon to Shopto as it seems they're the only ones in the UK offering the DLC pack boxed :p Game seems pretty awesome though, can't wait to get the full thing.

Oh so the japanese audio is a dlc extra? Hmm i may have to preorder then :) lol i wonder if they just had random people in there office do the english voices so people would feel sick and preorder to get this pack haha probably not buuuttt ;)

Total side note, the vita i brought is the 3g one and i have no intention on using that functionality, can i disable the 'no sim' notification at the top of the screen?

No biggie if not, but would be nice

Absolutely not. It took me many hours to even understand the battle system, and I still don't fully understand the Persona fusing system. It's pretty overwhelming for a noob like me. I think I'm gonna start over and grind properly.
