8gb, already full, tried to download uncharted and its already telling me not enough space. :mad:

So little birthday present toy is going to end up expensive.

$199 for the Vita which inc the 8gb.
$50 for PS +
$20 on a protective case and screen protector
$60 on two retail games
Now I'm going to have to fork out $70 on a 32GB memory card. Grrrrrrrr Which should be part of the console.

One thing I'm definitely NOT doing is shelling out the $30 per month on the 3G data plan. So the little tike will have to have me nearby for 4G LTE tethering from my iPhone 5, if he wants to go online when we're out and about.

One thing I will say, Most Vita games seem to be 1.something GB but Uncharted is almost 4gb. 8gb is still very tight but Uncharted is by far the biggest game I've come across.

Yeah, I think with PS+ I have no choice but to dip my hand in my pocket for the 32gb. Wish they had a 64gb for that kinda price, then i wouldn't mind paying.

32gb is not enough, given all the free games that you get. I am enjoying the PS+ and the vita so far. My 7yr old has been pre-occupied with his skylanders and LBP karting on the PS3 (thanks to being new PS+ subscribers today) so i've had the Vita pretty much to myself all day.
 
If i buy a larger memory card, I don't suppose there's a way to transfer what I've already downloaded to the existing card, to the larger card? Like using a PS3 or PC or something?

Or is it a case of just biting the bullet and re-downloading everything ?
 
Yep pc or ps3. For PC you have to download content manager and it will transfer saves as well. And you then have the options on ps vita to transfer back and forth games.
This is how I manage with my poor 4gb lol.
 
I am managing ok with my 8gb card tbh. I probably will get a bigger one at some point, but once I have played a game, I just delete it. Uncharted, for example, has no replay value at all.
 
I have a 16GB and find it more than enough. I download all the games on my PS3 and just plug the USB cable in and transfer the games I want to play.

Unless you must have everything on at once an 8GB/16GB card is plenty.

This goes back to my 'I've not done anywhere enough research on this thing' post. You see, I wish I knew this, oh well too late now, the 32gb is on its way.

I guess I'm going to have to find a spare hr and read through this entire thread to pickup what i need to know.

What are the must have titles for this Vita ?

Virtua Tennis 4

Oh, and Killzone Mercenary when it is released in a couple of days, and Final Fantasy X a bit later
 
I think the Vita version of Little Big Planet is also very good and worth playing. Also Need for Speed most wanted works better than expected on Vita.

I'd add Persona 4 and Virtue's Last Reward to that list.
 
Jak n Daxter trilogy might be to all atm I just logged on to the store on the vita which said all jak n daxter games were "free" without the PS Plus symbol. Might be worth a look for non ps plus members.
