***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Well you do have the option to do more combat every day if you want to :p

I think you could rush through it more if you wanted more gameplay but I enjoy trying to get Yukiko to love me :o

Just won a Vita on eBay :) All boxed, looks brand new and advertised as 'mint, comes with 32gb Memory Card, Konig Easy grip and hard case plus a load of games on it but won't be relevant, all for £117 :)
It won't take over from my 3DS but I want to play all my FF games from PSN and I'm pretty sure I have uncharted and wipeout on there as well in case I ever got a Vita, will go nicely with the PS4 :)

There doesnt seem to be any discussion on the announcement on Thursday?
It's rumored to be the launch of the new Vita Slim (Vita 2000) in the EU and possibly the vita tv.
I've been looking at the Vita since I got my PS4, does anyone here have any thoughts on the new model in comparison to the original? Is it worth grabbing an old one now before they dry up?

From reading the impressions on GAF, if you're willing to sacrifice the OLED screen for an LCD one everything else is an improvement (lighter, comfier, thinner, etc.). It also sounds like people are getting 8-12 hours out of it compared to the considerably less amount of charge you get out of the 1k. The new model also uses a USB charger as opposed to the proprietary one, so it's probably up to you whether it's worth it or not. I'm tempted to pick up a 2k (if that's what the announcement is) in addition to my launch model :p

I was really keen to get the OLED one hence why I got one now as I saw one in action and it really impressed me. It's basically being used as a 'Wii U' controller so the features on the new one don't warrant sacrificing screen quality for me personally.

I would not touch the PS Vita 2k if it's thinner, as the 1K is already thin enough to start causing hand cramps if you have man-sized hands. The OLED screen is fantastic too.

If the new Vita comes out then I will pick one up, so I can leave my original vita at home next to the PS4.

I hope they announced the 64gb card for UK too, my had 32gb from Amazon on pre-order for ages and still waiting.

I went for the original 3G vita, 16gb card and 10 game code for £155. Cheers for the thoughts guys. I have big hands, and the screen does sound to be that much better. Ill be using it for no more than 2 hours at a time away from home, and the rest I'll be by a plug socket anyhow, so it just made sense to me in the end. Roll on wednesday for some AC4 in bed haha :D

If I may ask, where did you get this from?

I understand you can buy this from Nippon Yassan, is that not an option for you?

Ah ok got you. I too have credit, think I'll get Persona 4 as it's pretty much the only game on the Vita that interests me.

Its the only vita game I've played for prolonged periods of times, except maybe Gravity Rush.

I bought the original Metal Gear Solid on vita the other day as I've never played any of the MGS series and want to work through them.

I'll play classics for sure and I have gravity rush and uncharted from PS+ a while back. Other than that I'm looking forward to FF X HD and that's it. Again this was bought for the PS4 streaming and the lack of games I'm interested was the reason I never purchased one sooner.

Thought I'd post a recommendation - I love my Vita and haven't really had a problem with getting cramp or holding properly, but thought I'd get a grip just to see if they're any good and crikey does it make the Vita even better!

It's just so much more comfortable! I was having trouble sorucing one in stock anywhere, but there appear to be plenty under different names that are all the same design as the Assecure one, which I picked up for cheap.

A friend of mine even decided he might pick one up after having a go with the grip.....he'd never expressed an interest in getting one before, but for some reason the grip swayed him.

I got a grip with mine. It's called a Konig Easy Grip but I have not got it yet so can't comment how good it is.
