PlayStation VR / VR2

Mine has rocked up, the charging station is really nice it has a good weight to it

Can’t play until later but looking forward to it, hoping for a noticeable improvement over the Quest 2!

Been looking at the games offerings thus far and I think I fancy a music game. Used to love guitar hero and rock band back in the day, so has anyone gone for Unplugged Air Guitar or Drums Rock?

Now have the PSVR2 set up. Finding the image a bit blurry ; have to make sure the front panel/lenses are precisely lined up and firmly secured on the head otherwise the fresnel effect is very noticeable. Tip for those who have received it but can't dabble with it until later : charge the controllers, they are almost dead straight from the box. Not sure how long it takes to get a full charge with the charging station.

Had an hour or so on RE8, you can tell the game hasn't been built for VR as there's not a whole lot to interact with but then that's expected really. Fidelity is a major step up from the Quest 2.

Pros
- Headset is comfortable and light
- Fidelity is fantastic
- Setup easy enough
- Controls feel good in the hands (see below)
- Headset haptics are very cool!
- Bundled earphones seem pretty solid, sound quality is good

Cons
- Feels like a very small sweet spot, getting the headset just right will take practice
- The PS buttons on the controllers have hardly any play in them, so hard to tell if you're pressing them or not

Cons
- Feels like a very small sweet spot, getting the headset just right will take practice <-- I wear distance glasses and its very tricky getting the headset focused

Same. Started with some kayaking, then had a few races in GT7. Started fealing queasy and flushed following the latter. Still have some symptoms 40 mins later, so I think I'll resist jumping back in later this evening and build up my VR legs in shorter bursts from hereon.

As you say, the sweet spot is quite small. Especially noticeable when you are reading text on screen.

That Kayak game brought the sweat on for me, it wasn't so bad going forward but man, when I started doing the tutorial for going backwards bam, felt sick as a dog :p

That's enough for today.

Kayak - barely played it but looks outstanding
The NFL pro game - seemed pretty good
Zombieland - excellent and perfect for VR imo, no locomotion and stages last a couple of minutes at a time!
RE8 - great graphically but as I said earlier you can tell it wasnt built with VR in mind
Swordsman - funny, only played 10 minutes in the horde mode but chopping up zombies was fun!

the wife had a try then spent 40mins lying on the bed feeling very sick and calling me some rather rude names . I did say to her "you watched me feeling ill after it so more fool you" to I which she hurled more bad words at me

Had a bit of a play so far on GT7 which was amazing. I’ve otherwise been either charging up the controllers or watching the kids play and desperately trying not to be ‘that’ dad and taking over. Can’t wait for them to go to bed though

God damn it women, she's been watching 3x back to back episodes on Netflix on the big screen. She's just started the 3rd and my bed time is 10pm!
