Please call us for a quote....

Want to hear something stupid Nick? The 10 month policy is actually cheaper than the 12 month

-westy- was telling me how the NCB you get on the 10 month policies is only valid with that particular company. Any truth in this?

Mark... don't make me cry please :( I thought this area was good (ask El and Si what it's like), but obviously it's got a crap postcode.

Surely that's to be expected though, given you've got 2 months less cover?

Nope, not at all. You renewal letter will simply say 1 years no claims, which you can then use anywhere.

 I don't get it though. Surely the fact that they're rewarding you with a years NCB after only 10 months should mean a higher overall policy cost?

What's in it for them if they don't?

Trojan, oh glad to hear that mate :) Thanks.

Ohh I see. That's not bad then :)

Well I've got 10 days to sort out insurance, so I'm in no rush unlike I was when I bought the first car... was kinda desperate to just get a car.

Oh, I've just paid for this months' car insurance, so at least I'll still be insured on the 214 until the end of March. Can take people out in it for test drives etc and take it for a run every few days to keep things in good running order, so at least it won't just be sat there.

Ill try again :p

What did elephant quote you, they seem the cheapest for Rovers, especially with parents on the policy

Sorry Si, thought I had replied to you.

£1323 from Elephant with mummy on the insurance. £1 cheaper than admiral :p
Did it get any lower with you mum on the policy?

Yeah but it ALWAYS added to my policy, even when I was 18 paying £1200

And your dad must live in Greater Manchester's Bronx! (or insures something daft!)

You bringing the mystery car to the meet?

El, he drives an 820. Same engine as mine in a bigger car. I think he's paying £460, full NCB, no points. Lives at the BL4 postcode where I used to live.

Just tried Direct Line, they can't give me a quote over the net. Also, they don't like it when I say I've been driving a year and have 2 years NCB

Can you lie about how long you've had your license for? It'll be 2 years in August.
