When the t.v shuts off at the end of April i will be getting a freesat box, most likely the Humax 1000s unless a better one comes along before then.

I already own a Humax Freesat HD box and it really good. Better than Sky.

But I do like the new one (latest box) Humax HDR-1010S/1TB (a new wifi including)

Yep technology do change quickly. Humax told me to hold on with my current box there might be a new software/firmware to bring in free time, so I don't have to purchase a new box again.

Just been watching videos and this free time looks quite buggy unless the bugs are ironed out now. Don't look as impressive as first thought.

Looking at the fox t2 now!

Tested using ethernet cable to the router and getting 72Mbps, which is beyond my estimated 63Mbps. So I'm very happy, having jumped from ADSL on BE.

I'm impressed. I've had to change from wifi to homeplug (using a pair of TP-Link AV-500+) to cope! Now getting 67Mbps over the homeplug network, which is still good enough in my view!

I'm not sure how I'm going to approach wireless yet, I only use a tablet, phone and Xbox over WiFi. Can't see there being a need for me to have more than 30gig on the above devices.

Try mini USB wifi N300 as these can cope over 70Meg to 140Meg
