Plusnet Discussion Thread

If you already signed up its too late, but if you are planning to sign up have a look at quidco first. £38 cash back for new subs. Mine been tracked already. Basically a month and a half free !

Yea me to, my post was more towards Pete :)

Is anyone coming from sky, have you phoned them to let them know your leaving?

Moving into my new house in about 2-3 weeks, I either have the choice of plusnet or BT infinity, Was tempted by plusnet as my missus had a bad experience with BT in the past and isn't too keen on them.

How is the customer service and what sort of timescale should we be looking at for installation or activation?

Normally about 2-3 weeks depending on BT open reach availability.

UK based customer service and a very active forum where they help you sort issues if you don't like phoning.

I think so, the original BT date was the 24th April. Luckily I can tether off my phone, though I'm half tempted to get a USB dongle to plug into the router.

Just had a look and we could get around 61Mb/s here, but as my Dad has just signed a further contract with Sky we can't change providers, shame really, was looking forward to getting a decent connection seeing as we only get 4MB/s with 0.4 up.

Sky Fibre...

I went to the local BP petrol station to get pint of milk because my local spar shop is shut for holiday. I never walk to my BP petrol for a month. Until today, I notice a new box was installed outside the main road. This box is only nearby my house, just up the footpath about a minute walk away from it.

So, is that a new FTTC green cabinet ? My FTTC expecting go live next spring 2014.
