Yup, fttc cabinet there, took a year from the point my local cabinet appeared til it went live on saturday just gone. Hopefully your's wont take so long.

Im considering the Plusnet Unlimited Fibre package, currently on BE, i get a sync of 16 down and 2.5 up and have a static IP

I get a low ping of most game servers and have read multiple threads on the PN forums with people with lag issues, is the pro addon worth getting? Also can anyone recommend a router to go with this service, ideally one with wireless, must be sub £100

The Asus N66U is quite popular(have one myself). It's on sale for around £100(sometimes less, sometimes more), check eBay.

An up to 80Mb/s product is available from Sky.

Going by that you get Titanium priority for Gaming on the Unlimited Fibre package same as the Pro Add-On.

Didnt realize I needed my MAC code to move from SKY. Why the Lady didnt sort it when I cancelled my Fibre order.

Gotta ring back SKY tomorrow at this time to get it. As was told it can take 24 hours.

I spoke to Plusnet, needing a MAC code depends what equipment you on at the exchange.

I am on BT equipment so I need a MAC code. If I was on SKYs I wouldnt.

No MAC code no date.

Rang SKY got my MAC code (they offered me a better deal, lol Why not make the offer to start).

Rang +net and gave MAC code my provisional date is now moved to the 19th

Well I have finally got mine fitted, though am waiting for the router. Had massive problems with sorting out an engineer and complained. Plusnet to be fair, have been very good at sorting it out and have offered me £10 to buy an extension cable (which the engineer refused to fit even though it had been part of the order), they have matched the current price of 6 months half price though when I ordered it was only 3, and have also offered me 25% off the price for the following 6 months.

Engineer stated he had checked the line and I am to get 52 down and 20 up, which is going to be mind blowing after 2 down and a trickle up.

Am probably going to have to use powerline adaptors though due to the size and shape and thickness of the walls in my house. Any recommendations for around £50?

My dad has ordered plusnet for us tonight as well

. He didn't select the option to move the master socket though. Will the engineer be willing to do that when they arrive, if not does the router really need to be plugged into the master socket?
