to me

Dear Sir.

Exchange Cuckoo Oak

Cabinet 8

Postcode TF* ***

Tele No: 01*** ******

The exchange that your line is fed from Cuckoo Oak is enabled and accepting orders for cabinets that have already been deployed.

However the cabinet feeding your line PCP 8 is not due for deployment until Phase 11a Which is Q3 2013/14, (Sep – Oct 2013) the cabinet in question is current planned as FTTC.

Please be aware that the engineering required to commission a Fibre Broadband cabinet is often complex and should conditions on the ground change, there is a small risk that the delivery date may be effected. Please track the date for commissioning through the line checker of your chosen service provider.

*****Please note all orders are subject to line length and line loss checks*****.

Many sites that show Fibre Broadband availability dates only show when the Exchange goes live and not individual cabinets off that particular exchange.

I walk to the pathway today and saw there is five BT Openreach van installing fibre from the main road all the way to my cabinet box there. I spoken to Openreach men and they say new FTTC cabinet will be installing next week next to cabinet number 8 box there. He say the FTTC should be ready before November 2013. Can't wait to have Plusnet FTTC soon.

I took two photos today:

How far are you from the cabinet Bulldog? What sort of speeds are you expecting?

my cabinet number 8 is only round the corner of my house. Not far only 1 minute walk away from it. Should be getting full maximum speed 80/20 ;) BT estimate 80/20 Available Dec 2013

On my ADSL2+ I getting 15.8Meg.

bloody hell. is that fibre?

So sorry to hear it. At present I am with Virgin Media 126/11 but getting fed up with it, service down lots of time, engineers sent out approx totally 8 times and they cannot get it fixed soon. The speed I am getting with virgin media on 126/11 is horrible, so I thought when my FTTC is ready then I will get a better FTTC service with Plusnet and cancel with virgin media as I had enough troubles ongoing with virgin media and they don't care to fix it.

Today was a joke :

The day before was ok:

So, your stuck at 0.22Mbps until Monday. That's pretty bad. I think I start to worry about my FTTC with Plusnet expecially the fault will not taken until after 72 hours. I might look at other isp who can fix the fault within 24 hours (not 72 hours)
