Plusnet Discussion Thread

Mike 80/20 would be pointless if you only getting below 40/10 speed estimate as I can understand why u choose 80/20 because of unlimited usage allowance. Normally Plusnet won't allow this. So, count yourself lucky.

Yep you could try Openreach Modem from Lan direct to your pc or laptop ethernet Lan and see if it had improvement. The Openreach Modem doesn't support wifi. Only the third party router connected to openreach modem Lan.

Was told it'll be 24-48 hours. I also got 6 months refund as BT put me on the wrong thing

Currently 38/9 so we wait and see

They cannot reset ip profile for VDSL. Impossible. I think they mistake telling you 24-48 hours. After that 48 hours u will not see any ip profile reset unless it required an engineer to go to your FTTC cabinet to reset it.

Mine is with plusnet fibre unlimited upgrade from ADSL2+ (install date next week Thursday 13th Feb) even thought I been with plusnet since 2009 with ADSL then ADSL2+ (always rock solid) I only had about 3 or 4 times downtime in the last 5 years!

Can't wait for mine. My fibre install date is this Thursday, 13th February. Two more days to go left ;) ;) Fibre Unlimited with Plusnet (using my own hardware Netgear DGND3700v2)

BT Openreach Engineer been here half an hour ago and change new master socket and faceplate (MK2) and using his tool kit reading line sync pass 79999K/20000K and plugged BTO Modem with my Netgear DGND3700v2 wireless router and got this speed result below:

BTWholesale test is not working at present, so I cannot see exchange IP Profile yet.

^^ u don't want to be without broadband and phone while awaiting for new fibre. Just get a mac key from your current isp and don't pay the cease charge. Don't accepted.
