well ive emailed back and asked them to check again , at the end of the day their tech blurb says its ON by default on new lines , ive never asked it to be changed until now so why would mine be currently OFF ? doesnt make sense tbh

Had mine activated last week. I was quoted around 70mb when I got my quote but I'm only getting 37mb and hasn't changed since activation.

Should I contact them or wait til the 10day period is over and then contact them?

I have signed up for the business version of plusnet inifity 2, apparently this is unlimited.

is there a FUP with this at all? or is it truly unlimited

Just cancelled my order with plusnet after being messed about something chronic, wasted day off work, ages spent on hold trying to sort it out, was taking so long my mac key expired...absolute joke.

Anyone know how talk talk fire are, they seem cheap?

I am sure they all use BT engineers so the problem lies with communication between them.

Be that as it may, their support staff are utterly inept, passing me from department to department, forgetting they offered me a discount, I've no time at all for them, taking days to respond to online tickets and then responding vaguely and asking me to call them... spending ages on hold then saying they will start the order from scratch so another 2 week wait for openreach to attend and another day off wasted...I thought they were supposed to have a good rep?

Sounds like you were very unlucky. I had a few problems with the engineer when I booked but it all got sorted and I was given a decent discount for the hassle.

Are you contacting them by support ticket or telephpne?

Support ticket is the quicker way in my experience. They always called me back when I requested it and that way at least you have everything in writing.

Both, they've cancelled my account now so I'm back to square one, they said id have to start account creation from scratch and wouldn't get as good a deal, absolute nightmare.

Their prices online seem to have gone up but talk talks deal seems to be bet for full speed FTCC & phone line, anyone have experience with them?

Got email from openreach as it look like not long to wait for my Fibre To The Cabinet soon. Can't wait.

to me

Dear Sir.

Exchange Cuckoo Oak

Cabinet 8

Postcode TF* ***

Tele No: 01*** ******

The exchange that your line is fed from Cuckoo Oak is enabled and accepting orders for cabinets that have already been deployed.

However the cabinet feeding your line PCP 8 is not due for deployment until Phase 11a Which is Q3 2013/14, (Sep – Oct 2013) the cabinet in question is current planned as FTTC.

Please be aware that the engineering required to commission a Fibre Broadband cabinet is often complex and should conditions on the ground change, there is a small risk that the delivery date may be effected. Please track the date for commissioning through the line checker of your chosen service provider.

*****Please note all orders are subject to line length and line loss checks*****.

Many sites that show Fibre Broadband availability dates only show when the Exchange goes live and not individual cabinets off that particular exchange.

The support will be just as dire for the pricing you're paying.

Well call me a fool but ive just placed a new order with plusnet, with a new mac code as the old one expired...

Two reasons, they still seem best on price for unlimited FTTC, and I made my new order via Quidco, so I get 70 pounds cashback.

I'm now in the bizare situation where they are refunding me for the initial $35ish and i'll send thier router back when the pre paid envelope arrives, and I've just paid the fee again so they will send me a new router out.

Contact them, that doesn't sound right to me.

Brought up the issue on their community forums and all i had to do was log in to router and disconnect/ reconnect :D
