Keep it. Me and my bro found £350 or so in cash in a wallet in Tesco car park and I didn't hesitate to keep that either. If I was that careless as to lose several hundred pounds in cash I would fully expect whoever found it to keep it.

That's a bit of a bad attitude to have. If you lost £200 and someone returned it to you, would you be grateful, or would you think "ha! sucker! you could have kept it..."?

The whole point is that 63% of people most likely assume that the money would not be returned to its original owner. This does not make people scum of the earth and really isnt the downfall of this country, are some people so naive as to think this? its as if satan himself had planted his seed into the hearts of those that voted they would take it.

"Disgusting I say, i spit on them"

How can you be so naive as to think the supermarket employee working for minimum wage on a desk (and the vast majority actually hate the customers, they just put on a kindness for the job) would actually try and find the owner?

If you wanted to hand it in, it should have gone to the police.

I have no shame in saying that I would have kept it. Everyone saying "oh what if it was yours", most people would probably keep it if I lost it too, so I wouldn't feel guilty.

I find it disgusting that 63% of this forum would not even hand it in to the police. It's the legal place to hand such an item in to, and you would not have it on your conscience that you've essentially stolen something that belongs to someone.

The fact that it's only £200 is irrelevant, you have no idea as to the relative worth of the money. If you found a car with the keys in would you drive off with it?
I would guess the answer that most of you scumbags would give is 'no, I would get caught'. So just because you would get caught you wouldn't drive off with it? I guess the same logic applies with the £200, you won't get caught, so keep it. Where does that end? £500? £5000? Beating up someone you don't like? Rape? Murder?

I fully expect some of you to call this post stupid and 'missing the point', but you were beyond help with your internet bravado anyway. Hopefully at least a few will realise keeping the money is pathetic.

Not everyone are scallies like you though.

I would have informed the manager and handed the money in to the police. I certainly wouldnt' have trusted anyone working in the supermarket :)
