Pokemon GO! (2016)

Hey guys, im having this weird bug with my game where no pokemon are able to appear.

This means that no pokemon come up to be caught and no 3d pokemon animations come up in the bag/gyms:

What i did was to use an incense to try to force a pokemon to appear. When i click on the pokemon the screen goes white and i have to force close out of the app:

I thought it may be to do with my android os being buggy so i logged in on my partners phone and it was doing the same thing

(and no, i havent been doing any cheating of any kind on pokemon go so it isnt some sort of ban tactic)

From what I can tell, you're roaming? How fast is the connection? Could it be just really slow?

when roaming it was a reasonable 3g connection

however it also occurs on wifi

Try clearing data/reinstalling the app and it will force it to download all the models again when you log on.

Can you see/use pokestops?

Edit: does your partner have their own account? Does their account work fine on both phones?

I cleared the app data and cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, factory reset the phone, upgraded the OS to the latest version and even rolled it back to an earlier build - nothing worked

Yes, pokestops did appear, but no pokemon - even if they were lured.

I logged into the same account on my partners phone.

So you've only tried your own account? I'd try a different account and see if that works.

I believe there's a way to modify the apk to get it to run on earlier Android versions.

On Nox all the Staryus are just black stars .

Edit: if you mean you can't install it from the Play store then you can just download it from apkmirror.com or copy the apk from your phone.

The game runs ok, but i cant get the gps spoofing app to work even with mock locations turned on as it requires 5.0 and above thats using Fakegps app

I haven't tried spoofing on an Android device so not really sure how to get it to work, I think I've seen people say they're using Xposed Privacy to block Pokemon Go from using Location and then setting the Location in Xposed Privacy or something, but you just put co-ords in I think, which isn't really the best way for kids to play the game.

I can't remember, but you might need mock locations off now.

They will probably get bored or forget about it soon, Shame there is no offline mode as such as they do enjoy it, but I'm not going to let them use my phone while out and about in case it gets dropped or lost.

Same, which is why I stuck a pay as you go sim in my old S5 and gave the kids it. Son and daughter love going on "pokehunts".

Gyms confuse me. Came across a red team gym with three pokemon. It was a Golbat, a Flareon and something else, I forget which. When I took the fight option, I was given the chance to use a team of 6 of my pokemon, yet I've only ever been able to choose one in the past. What governs this?

Also, once I took it down, and assigned one of my own, I was able to fight my own pokemon to (slowly) up the prestige level. Interesting that this is allowed. Regardless, there was no one else on the yellow team nearby and my Hypno was only 877CP so it was back to red team before I got home 10 mins later...
