Out of Pokeballs :(

I'm stuck at home with a bad knee so can't walk to get some more.
I'm also a bit worried about buying them as i download the APK from a website so don't really want to risk putting my details in.

Capture Bonuses:
-Nice 10XP
-Great 50XP
-Excellent 100XP
-Curveball 10XP

So when the green/yellow/red circle starts shrinking, landing your pokeball within that circle will grant you the nice/great/excellent bonus relative to the size of the circle when you hit. So hitting within the circle when it is tiny will get you an excellent.

Good info, thanks. Any idea if pulling off a Great or an Excellent increases your chances of capture?

Some of you guys are well ahead. I'm on day 2 and my best company is 300~ cp. I did have 1 question, can you get better CP pokemon that are still lacking in the powerup bar (so still low on the half circle bar), or is it always correlated to their CP.

I think the power up bar (semi circle) is just a visual representation of max CP, once it's full that pokemon is maxed out unless you evolve it? not sure though.

Ok, but does each pokemon have the same end CP, or does it scale as you level up. Wondering if its worth upgrading things I've caught now or saving for later.

It's correlated. But the bar scales up the higher your trainer level, so your trainer level caps the max CP the pokemon can achieve.
