Pokemon GO! (2016)

How do you get 1000+ CP pokemons? I'm lvl 11 and I the highest ever I caught was like 450CP only.

Do you get better once you level up or is it just pure luck?

Not had much time for the game today. Though I did catch a Vulpix on my way to work and checked again as I was arriving home. And I swear there was a Kabuto waiting on my doorstep!

Two more additions to my collection. Can't complain at that.

Of the opinion that it is a bit pointless with gyms, im just collecting 12 candy evolves and lucky eggs to just mass level instead.

The Radar is currently broken, it worked on the first "official" day though.

I caught a 326 Jynx today. I don't think it takes too long to get going.

Yeah but that's the thing. There will be people (lots) who have much more time than me. I'm level 7 and been playing since Japan launch day with spare time, this means I had a head start but already 100s of cp behind the gym holders

In a few days I'll be 1000s behind as the cp of what you catch is related to your level.

Unfortunately this is where classic games win. You can play against an appropriate level AI.

I battled against a gym today and my 6 top pokemon didn't even beat the first gym holder.

Unless they overhaul the fundamentals (like introduction of a level range, ie a person 1-10 can occupy a gym with a person 11-20 and you battle your range. The causal player is going to get left behind.

But the way it is now.. Gaps get bigger as time goes on

There will be a fine line for the owners for keeping the interest of enough people to keep it going.
They won't care about players like myself as I won't be purchasing anything. But they will need to keep enough interest to maintain momentum.

Feel it's only got longevity if you live in a city and have the time to keep up

Gyms are getting too dominated by high CP players.

I agree. It is really hard with the gap getting bigger. I guess you can go in with a few mates at once and take down a gym? Even if you did it wouldn't be long before someone took it back. I'm nearly level 8. I've been playing since yesterday. I'm lucky to have 3 spawn points in my house, a pokestop at the gym and work is absolutely surround by pokestops (at least 40).

Doesnt take that long, however you do have to catch a lot and level up.

Just had a couple of pints in a local pub, was there an hour, 2 pokestops next door, both had lures on for the whole time. Caught loads, was almost an endless stream, including a 1200 CP Poliwrath. :D

Now have 1 pokeball left. :p

Now level 20 and its 50k for the next level, this is how people catch up.

Caught a rhyhorn, how the **** am I supposed to level it up, I'd need to find 15 of them!

There's a snorlax near me too but I've walked around and I can't find it.

Too location dependent.
I walked for half hour today and caught 5 pokemon. If your life doesn't take you to poketastic places you can't keep up

Apparently its a bug. Some people in reddit said they made the nearby system city level instead of street. Dunno if its true or not

I'm not sure that is right. I'm in London and at the moment it is saying there is one Eevee nearby, nothing else. However I read the steps are supposed to go down to 2 and 1 when you get close. There does seem to be a bug. At the moment it is just walk and collect everything.

This is true, at the weekend I was at my parents, absolutely nothing nearby. Then I went to a wedding, nothing, at all.

My house has nothing, lucky at work the local town has a fair few stops and gyms. :)

Yeah it will probably alienate a lot if people but that won't be too bad for the owners. But it does screw out a lot of people.

Be interesting to see if this lasts.
For me I think it's at end of my interest level.

There must be concern about burn out. I know that once you've evolved and learnt all moves the games become less interesting.
You can't simply add more pokemon either. That doesn't work.
I'm sure there will be many many people working on the solution to this.

I'm about at the point where I don't see anything new now. And if I do, it's so rare, I can't evolve or level it up.

But they have the great ability to modify the game instantly by the app stores.

Local gym in the village had a free slot, top slot in fact, so took it. Gym owner! At the same time, someone else increased its prestige, opened up another space, and got in too. We gave each other a knowing nod. Only 300-600CP, level 3. All the Winchester city centre ones are 1000+. Despite having multiple goes, could only beat one pokemon...I have no clue about strengths/weaknesses.

Edit...and he's been defeated already.
