Just wasted 10 pokeballs on a CP??? Bird thing, hit it 3 times, it escaped my ball 3 times and flew away!?! What gives?

I know there is a known bug when catching which causes the app to freeze.

The only tip I have is that when the "battle" screen appears, wait for the pokeball to stop spinning first before throwing your ball i.e. you are deffo connected to the server. Seems to help, but that's anecdotal evidence.

Yeah, that's what I'm planning on doing as well. I have 49 Pokemon ready to evolve atm, that's 49k xp
