Pokemon GO! (2016)

It's better today for me compared to the mess at the weekend, I can still catch pokemon and it only froze a couple of times.

Went to Canary Wharf and someone placed a lot of lures around. Saw there was a Mr Mime somewhere but sadly didn't have time to hunt him down :(. Maybe someone in the area will have better luck :p.
 
Been a lure installed at the pokestop outside my office pretty much all day, just close enough to benefit but not close enough to keep topping up on items so going from a stash of 200 pokeballs I've 14 left now...

There are a lot of Poke stops in London it seems. The ones near work have had lure on all day. At one point here was 7 stops with lures on. I'm using them to collect items though as walking around the office trying to catch Pokemon isn't the best use of time!

There is a gym near home that only has a single Pokemon in it. I might put my Charmander in there. No one seems to bother it and it will help evolve it faster.
 
Well I can get in but continually refreshing.

Good from perspective I now know it's not fundamental game issues but just problems with overload which they can fix. Just be frustrating working around it for the foreseeable.

Touching it before it comes back fully makes the app stop responding to inputs until you restart it.

Any idea how to set this up for iPhone?
 
Does using a lure on a rural pokestop have the same effect as a pokestop in a city?


It sucks living in a rural with just 3 pokestops. If the effect is greater in the city I might just save my lures then use it all in a city.
 
Are the eggs you get random? I have had quite a few but not a single 10k one. I am level 15, if that is relevant.

I think it is the same. I am somewhere with only 2 pokestops and very few pokemon at the moment. I used a Lure and an Incense yesterday and they both seemed to give me a pokemon every 5-10 mins (which is about the same as when I was in Barcelona which has loads of pokestops and pokemon). BUT, due to the server issues I didn't manage to catch many in the 30 min windows as it kept freezing as I captured them, so I wasted the Incense and Lure. Maybe karma for wasting time playing this whilst on holiday?!?!

Kind of, it dims the screen when the phone is upside down, I.e. in your pocket so it saves screen power consumption. I think thats all it does through.

Cool. Ill give a shot and use a lure in the mornings while the americans are sleeping. Hopefully the servers will be fine.
