Scrolling around the map Skiplagged seems to work well for London but nowhere else
Checking city centres Manchester has 6 pokemon, Birmingham 7, Bristol 3 etc 
Tried that and no good for me in Milton Keynes sadly. At least Pokevision gave me somewhere to wander to in my lunch but aimless wandering for rattatas or pidgeys is less satisfying than rushing out the office to jog to a graveler (which spawned in my game before disappearing before I could click him lol)
Where I live there are maybe 2/3 pokemon on the nearby list but no idea where they spawn, once had a single ekens on my nearby list with no chance of zeroing in on it

I'm using Pokemap Desktop from github. It works well, using a Google account to log in means that you need to restart the program every so often though, which means you need to be able to remote in to your computer to restart it.

They are yes! My brother had it first at level 20 a few days back but I've been getting them for ages.

Even in London it is only showing about half of the Pokemon.
I've had 11 10k eggs, first at level 11.
Egg drops have definitely been weighted towards 2k eggs recently, I would almost exclusively get 5k eggs, with 2k and 10k being almost equal in rarity. Now I am inundated in 2k crap, wasting all my incubators

I would think the damage per second could be higher on the 523. Use that google sheet thing or this link:

When you evolve the attacks changes randomly so you have no idea what they could be.

I think it all comes down to RNG, I hatched my last egg walking around at lunch and managed to collect 1 10km and 8 5km eggs.
Annoyingly managed to 'find' 2 Onyx's and a Lapras silhouettes on my nearby but couldn't actually find them.

I know but it would give you an idea of what to expect by looking at what the dps would be for all the moves.

Well on my lunchtime walk today I saw two Pidgeys. Yes, two Pidgeys.
I've booted the game up a few times today and outside work I've caught:
2x Staryu
4x Psyduck
2x Goldeen
2x Pidgy
1x Slowpoke
...and a Magikarp
Previously I would get nothing.
Just caught an 1163 Seaking 
The only Pokémon I have over 1000 that has been caught rather than evolved. Managed to snag a Voltorb but only at 370 and another Squirtle but that was just for candies towards evolving my Wartortle.
