I'm not interested in the botting apps, but most of the map apps are back up and running so I assume the bot apps are as well.

And, I don't believe Niantic did what they did because of people using bots to abuse the game. Pretty sure it was more to do with lightening the load on their servers. With that being said, I'm sure they'll come down quite heavy on people using bots by the time trading etc comes into the game.

Getting rid of a soft ban (it doesn't matter how long you've been soft banned for) takes about a minute, and it's very easy to avoid getting soft banned at all while teleporting :(.

Edit: Niantic have said that bans are coming though, so we'll see what happens.

More and more people are getting frustrated by it it seems.
They are so poor at customer relationship it's unbelievable with a cash cow so huge.

A couple of times over the weekend I launched the app, but seeing nothing and no tracking I just closed it.
 
2 hours into my day of wandering I caught a 1k Magmar, 800 Sandslash (both firsts) as well as getting enough Voltorb, Growlithe and Tentacools to evolve :D

Had a lovely breakfast as well, good day so far :)

That's the lure modules on Pokestops, not the incense.

I'm starting to rely more on nests to catch the pokemon I want, most of the time I don't really feel like getting my phone out due to the lack of tracking.
 
Argh this game!!

Blastoise appeared, 8 ultra balls with berries he escapes and then runs off, my mate had met me for lunch, on his second normal ball, no bereies, no great bonus or anything he catches it :p

Gutted!! :p:(:D
 
Everyone in the north east keeps saying St Mary's Lighthouse is a Dratini best, walked about 18km up here (lovely day so not begrudging it!) but not a Dratini in sight! Feel robbed!
 
When looking at "occupied" gyms on the map, I sometimes see a "|" in the list when scrolling through pokemon in the gym.

For instance I am looking at a level 9 gym and it is showing as "|....|..."

What do the separator marks indicate?

Where abouts mate? I'm only ever really walking in my local park and am getting nothing but crappy pidgeys etc. Centre of Newcastle is good but I feel a bit of a plonker walking around playing on my phone ha. Might pay Jesmond Dene a visit this week...
 
I wandered from North Shields ferry up to tynemouth past the fish quay, pottered around tynemouth (where I popped the lured and got Magmar) then walked right up to St Mary's and now heading back. Loads to catch I've added loads more since this morning as well as losing a blastoise.

Don't bother with st Mary's though, apparently they complained Pokemon go was making it too busy (despite their always in summer being 100+ people around when the tides out anyway) so they've removed 5 pokestops and nuked the Dratini nest. Nothing there now :( though I caught a charmander and Jynx buy nothing consistent.

Another great place is roker beach which there are loads of good spawns (especially on Audrey's little ice cream shop)

Hope that helps, I'm on the return leg now and I'm ******* knackered :D

Ps. I have heard Jesmond Dene, Quayside and Haymarket are good as well. Apparently Aerodactyl spawns on Haymarket.
 
Nice run there :)

I've seen a few pokestops being removed in my local area, which has been annoying. Makes farming them harder too.
