Pokemon GO! (2016)

Been on a slightly different route this lunchtime Passed about 40 pokestops there and back so I've got plenty of balls now. Caught nothing of interest. A few weedles, pidgeys, a ratata. Yawn.

Nice run there :)

I've seen a few pokestops being removed in my local area, which has been annoying. Makes farming them harder too.

If they are removing places they should look at alternatives, that was the only (known) Dratini nest anywhere, now there's no chance of finding the blighters. What makes it more annoying is all the Dragonites you see all over north of the river from people who obviously had the chance to make use of it before it was removed.

Removing things for valid reasons (I know a few graveyards have been nuked) is absolutely fine but they need to look into alternatives as you will get less "common" gathering/farm spots.

Still, a good day, just at Cullercoats and legs are giving me some gyp now :p

Think it's poor to be able to catch 3 tier evolutions myself. I'd even rather 2nd tier being almost non existent
Imagine getting to 399 Magikarp candies and then coming across a gyarydos!

I keep noticing in coming across the evolved versions when I have almost finished the candy to get the upgrade. I would prefer having to take them from scratch as well, feel like I've cheated if I take a top level one from the wild.

I'm home now and completely broken, great day and I've walked around 35k or so as best I can work out. Feet hurt but I had fun and got loads of new Pokemon!

Was at Holland Park again, just need 51 more candies for Venusaur.

Bumped into a few players recommending this site/app for tracking: https://www.pokemonradargo.com/

It predicts where pokemon are and reports from users, so it doesn't check with the GO servers at all. But due to this it doesn't show all pokemon in the area, and only seems to work in busy areas. But it does work pretty well.

I'm using this one now. It is super accurate. I used it earlier to pick up a Haunter. I will be using it in the US to get a Tauros.

It is live and not based on user input (at least the app is).

Belfast is rather rubbish at times. No charmanders or bulbasaurs, only squirtles. My whole team appears to be water and psychic based.

Done some evolving from the back of today's haul and got my first Wartortle, Persian, Golduck, machoke, Arcanine, Tentacruel, Graveler, Magneton, Cloyster, Electrode, Seadra and Flareon!

Well happy with that haul and pokedex now reads caught 100, seen 102 :)

Yeah, lol.

At least throw xp is back.

Edit: they posted this on their facebook.

"We're currently testing a variation of the "Nearby Pokémon" feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI."

You also need to confirm you're not driving in order to continue playing if you're going above a certain speed apparently :D.

Got a 100% Charmander 327cp but with no nests, it's going to be neglected as I'll never be able to evolve it.
The escape bug hasn't been fixed, a Raticate after many great balls wouldn't capture, eventually ledt as it was wasting great balls.

Change log for the update

Trainers, Pokémon GO has been updated to version 0.33.0 for Android and 1.3.0 for iOS.
Trainers,

Pokémon GO has been updated to version 0.33.0 for Android and 1.3.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

Added a dialog to remind Trainers that they should not play while traveling above a certain speed. Trainers must confirm they are not driving in order to continue playing.
Made improvements to the accuracy of a curveball throw
Fixed a bug that prevented ”Nice,” ”Great,” and “Excellent” Poké Ball throws from awarding the appropriate XP bonuses.
Fixed achievements showing incorrect Medal icons.
Enabled the ability for Trainers to change their nickname one time. Please choose your new nickname wisely.
Resolved issues with the battery saver mode on iOS and re-enabled the feature.
Added visuals of Team Leaders Candela, Blanche, and Spark.
We’re currently testing a variation of the “Nearby Pokémon” feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI.
Minor text fixes
We hope you enjoy this new version and please share your feedback!

So glad Battery Saver is back, better charge my battery pack up :D

Can you get a curveball and a great throw xp bonus combined? I've been getting "Bonus" 100XP on some throws

I don't think so, unless it's different on newer updates. I've had loads of times where I have and thrown a curveball and got a great throw, but only received the XP for the great throw.

Yeah, lol.

People clearly make a conscious decision to play whilst driving so why would a reminder make them stop? :p
