Wahay! This thread just got upgraded to serion s

Tried to take vids earlier coming home but sleet and grit in the face and wind was too much just kept going. Was pretty surreal this afternoon, been poor up until a very heavy hail storm that seemed to appear instantaneously lasted for ten minutes then sun broke and it looked lovely for a minute.. then dulled right back down again back to rain etc. Winds raging the whole time. At this point people started to be a bit more fastidious about getting home.

Doesn't seem so bad outside now. Edit, in fact no. Walking outside where there are no walls double glazing TV and music... it's pretty mental still. Kitchen and bathroom extractor fans sound like they are going to blow up. Wonder what temps I'd get sticking the PC out of the window..

Ah whoops I see why you are confused! Picked it up wrong and being a ****, did hear or read something earlier about how it wasn't a hurricane though.

Ahh fairs, the names are based the geographic location, storm, hurricane, cyclone, typhoon - all the same thing, an intense low pressure where wind from the higher pressure surrounding it rushes in to fill the low - When that's done it's finished

When asked Biohazard commented that he was expecting an immediate statement from the SNP expressing that it is indeed a wee bit windy and that the Scottish Parliament deplores this clearly Westminster originated weather being imposed on the Scottish people without consultation.

When pressed he mentioned "that David Cameron down south has a lot to answer for!"

A follow up statement will be issued in due course detailing that post independence the Scottish people will have the power of self determination when it comes to the weather and allowed a referendum at an as yet undecided time in the future, to decide if they wish to retain typical "unionist" British weather conditions, or adopt the traditional Scots "It's a dreich day!" all year round.

We now return you to the studio.... Brian...

;) :D

Do you know what, that almost shows some talent there! :D I'm impressed Athanor even if you are still a bit obsessed.
Glad you enjoyed it, love the thought that you might consider someone else "a bit obsessed". :D:D:D

**Edit** Actually I should add although an opportunity for a chuckle, I'm sure we all hope that any damage, injury and god forbid loss of life due to the atrocious weather conditions is minimal.
